It's sad to think Eddie Vedder is the last frontman alive from the original big 4 of grunge, all those talented artists and all of them gone far too soon

Amazing amazing voice Imagine a 12 year old Black kid (me ) in 1994 Walking around the hood singing black hole sun people though I was insane

I'm allergic to Chris's voice. Makes my eyes leak every time nowadays.

Nothing better than a man and his guitar
  • I get goosebumps and almost nauseous hearing the lyric “hang my head, drown my fears till you all just disappear” .....knowing.....
  • I’m still not over his passing. When I hear him sing, it literally feels like a rock buried in my chest. Chris had the voice that dragged feelings out of places you didn’t even know existed.

My uncle said to my mom a couple of months ago, “He sounded like a whole band even when it was just him“ such a powerful voice ❤️

“Times are gone for honest men, sometimes far too long for snakes...” Indeed...

He totally just understood how to make amazing music. The way he started off slow, and we know Stern Show is early in the morning so you see him as a pro take it easy the first few notes to make sure his voice was optimal for this performance and the more he saw that he had his full range behind his voice he knew exactly when to crescendo and hit those higher notes, that man didn't deserve the way he went out. RIP. Awesome Performance.

Chris was one of the the greatest screamers, but his voice when he’s not screaming is just amazing.

I've a 1 year old son and I'm trying to make sure he hears "good" music, so ya know I play all the classics to him, the beatles, the stones, the doors, sound garden Pearl jam nirvana etc etc. But anyway he seems to have the same love for Chris as I do because throughout this song he was smiling and clapping and as soon as it finished MELTDOWN! I mean inconsolable until I restarted it. I'm no child psychologist but I think my kid has a bright future.
