The BEST basketball player........EVER! He was an unstoppable force on the court! At one point during his illustrious career, the slam dunk was banned so he developed THE SKY HOOK! Because of his height and the increased height when he extended his arm to the sky, this shot was not able to be blocked by the opponent! It was quite simply, GRACE in Motion. With a demanding post position with his body, a keen eye on the basket, a pivot of his foot, a slight jump off of his planted foot and a flip of his wrist, we were guaranteed 2 points night after night until we won several NBA CHAMPIONSHIPS and he became the ALL TIME SCORING LEADER in basketball history! Kareem, you are my favorite sports figure of all time! You are also a very intelligent and honorable man and for that, I have nothing but admiration for you! We also share the same birth date, April 16th!😁 Thank you so much for all of the happy memories during my lifetime! I truly appreciate your hard work, dedication and sacrifices you made during your life to entertain us! Bless you my brother! Hopefully one of these days i will have the opportunity to meet you! Congratulations on the beautiful statue that depicts you so well! You truly deserve it!

I really don't know why it took this long to finally unveil Jabbar's statue. I think his statue should've been unveiled first before Magic Johnson's. After all, Kareem is the all-time leading NBA scorer, he won 6 MVP awards, and has 6 NBA championships to his credit. No other player, past and present, has NBA achievements as impressive as those of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's. His skyhook shot was so formidable that very few NBA players were able to counter it. So, why did it take so long??

Some tried but with less success. He is the best. He is the TRUE greatest of all time basketball player. He just aint marketable.. Kobe & Jordan just looks better in commercials thats why they label them best laker and best player respectively.

While he has an ego...like most athletes do, Kareem is not the smoozer that Johnson is. MJ probably whined for and demanded a statue....pointing out to the owners how much his presence meant to their pockets.
