I can’t believe it’s been a year since this was first released. This and “A Fairlie good idea” have both been really inspiring for someone like me who’s just building their first layout.

Wow, the progress on the Ffestiniog layout is just stunning. The bridges are just exquisite. Most definitely something to be proud of Richard
  • We had a great time filming this and hope everyone enjoys the end result :) Already looking forward to Part 2 :) Ps, during the live premiere I did notice a couple of people correcting some of my information so apologies for any mistakes on my part! It was hard to try and recall all the relevant information perfectly when the record button gets pressed! ;)

Fantastic video . Love how it’s filmed with step by step modelling techniques. And all about my most favourite places in the world

This is useful to see how simple it can be. I actually model 16mm scale but some of this advice is invaluable and transferable to larger scales. I think the biggest barrier to any sort of modelling is people’s procrastination due to lack of confidence that thet dont have the basic skills and knowledge. Videos like this will really give people confidence to have a go!

The bridges are amazing! Im not even gonna question how it changes from yellow and black, to old looking colors! Amazing work!
  • Great Video. Really enjoyed the mix of Richard modelling and Tony and Richard on the Ffestiniog railway. Big production team too for all those different shots. I smiled at the expanding foam - it's like there's an immediate rapid expansion and you wonder, have I put enough, but then there's a further stage 2 and slower expansion lasting a day and doubling the size.
  • so good to see Chirs Eden Green involved he is very talented and love his content. In general i was in love with all of this thank you.

  • @camerons7599
I've been to the bleaneau Ffestiniog twice and it's a great railway, one of my favourites so I can't wait!
  • Outstanding episode! By far one of the best you’ve ever put out! Can’t wait for part 2!
  • Ten minutes of walking from Minffordd to Portmeirion!! Absolutely gorgeous place!!

Never thought I’d hear Dewi Pws singing on a Hornby Magazine video!
