Once I became a Christian I couldn’t even imagine how life would feel without God
  • Thank you for modeling your relationships in a biblical way. I'm excited to see you, your wife, and your kids bear fruit in future because of what your doing now. What a joy it will be when they see it for themselves.

To answer the question, my relationships are complicated. With my mom, growing up she was never super strict with living a Christian lifestyle. I'd go to church with my friends, but she would stay home. A few years ago, she had a bad experience with school and she wasn't able to become a nurse due to racism. After that incident, she claims she isn't Christian anymore all of a sudden when I said we were. Now that I'm older, I try to give her words of wisdom here and there trying to put her back onto the right path. All these bad things keep happening to her, but she doesn't seem to look towards God and reattempt to follow his word wholeheartedly. I'm not completely sure what to do since I don't want to be too pushy, but I also want the best for her. Moreover, my relationships with my friends is normal, I guess. It's not Christ centered, but we also met when we were 5 and we've grown up together. I don't have much Christians friends or any at all that I'm close with. I'm not sure how to bring God into these friendships since I've talked to them before about Jesus and shared verses with them. One isn't too sure about being reglious for no particular reason, and the other says she believes in God but I'm not sure if she's very religious. 2 other friends I'm not too sure where they stand relgious wise and another friend of mine is Muslim so I'm not sure what to do. I like all my friends and family and I wouldn't want them to fall apart, but I'm just very lost after listening to this podcast. Some advice would be helpful! :)

Thank you for this word! I’m not sure how to navigate my expectations with my Christian friends. I love them all and want to be closer, however I’ve found with the guys especially that feelings or misunderstandings get in the way and then they end up ignoring me or talking to me less. It’s really hurtful. I don’t feel particularly attractive and I’ve really stopped communicating altogether because I don’t know where I’m going wrong with these guys.

My relationships are few outside of my family, I have acquaintance with those I’ve let along the way. Many of whom often reach out and remind me of the difference I made in their lives. One of which I strive for and work towards. This all is so familiar, I grew up the youngest of eight siblings and the two closest were brothers. What Pastor Alex spoke about how we look at the opposite sex is absolutely correct. This leaves me longing for “House Church” here in Atlanta where there’s a plethora of Mega Churches yet so many people in need.
