  • Raised in School Street flats, it's crazy looking at the liberties back in the day they really did have it good.

This is the first time I've seen theses shows, they are awesome. I lived in Crumlin for about about 6-7 years in the 70's. My mother ran the Post office on Cork street for about 5 years in the 80's. I worked on Ormand Quay for 4-5 years and went to Bolton Street at night in the 80's, now DIT. This is all a little older than my time in Dublin, but its a great history lesson.
  • What great weather we had back then. And not a bit of technology in sight brilliant. ☘️☘️

I am an Spaniard immigrant that has raised a family at the Liberties and I feel proud of having lived there ... Great place and better people, I wish fish were more mainstream these days

Drugs and the pushers have ruined communities and taking the heart out of great people and their families who are destroyed by drugs 🙈🙈
  • Proper food shops. Butchers shop, bread shop. Proper bread and none of the artisans shit they sell today.

I can see our old flat in Oliver Bond when Eamonn walks up Bridgefoot street...I'd give anything to be back there again...time goes by too fast ...miss those days.

The C.P.A.D was founded in the liberties to keep out all the Drug Dealer's and the best thing about it was it had the support of Sinn Fein and I remember as a child going on a march with me uncle shouting 'Out , Out, Out' but also being afraid of the small coffin they would carry because I thought that there was a dead kid my age inside of it. Well , The marches use to work because ye would hardly see any of the trouble makers hanging around plying there dirty trade. God Bless The Liberties of Dublin and God Bless Eire...!!
