$1000 bet that these controllers will also still have drift issues

No Backwards compatability would be a huge missed opportunity. The Switch has a huge Library, and those with day 1 switches may want to upgrade and still play their games. That said I guess it's probably an issue with the tegra processor, a switch successor to me would be using a newer AMD mobile chip (maybe), and there could be compatability issues with the previous gen.

If I’d be given a penny every time there was a "Nintendo Switch 2" leak, I’d be richer than Elon Musk.

Nothing new to see here, keep walking guys

I think people would just give up with Nintendo if there was no backwards comparability
  • @yetitheeduardo
Not having backwards compatibility will be a gigantic unprecedented misstep
  • @RaxonXVI
No backwards compatibility me no buy… the switch has a massive library I’m working on and if I can’t carry it over I’ll use the money the new system would cost and buy more games for my switch instead

If there ever is a Switch 2 ill be so shocked I really though the OLED SWITCH the last Nintendo console but if there is a 2nd one ill be impressed

If it’s cartridge based I don’t see why they wouldn’t make it backwards compatible. Either have two slots or one slot that accommodates the sizes and shape of both like the 3DS did.

I highly Doubt they will remove backwards compatibility if its a portable console
  • @jumentoqueanima
It will. The cartriges have leaked and are the same thing with an extra chip.

Why would it not play switch games they just dropped tears of the kingdom and still have some big games coming
  • bro just dropped the cleanest transition thinking we wouldnt notice
  • @michaelbaker5501
Backwards compatibility needs to happen. I’ve had my switch since 2017 and I’ve accumulated over 30 games.
  • @Roslavix
Ain't no way backwards compatibility won't be there.
  • @NewSaddo
Retrocompatibility is crucial. A vast amount of switch games have been released in their physical version, It would be a waste of money if with all the new top tier Nintendo games like ToTK that released just this year to not have backwards compatibility.
  • Nintendo’s not THAT stupid. I guarantee there will be backwards compatibility.
