I had forgotten just how quick he was! And that trademark step around the keeper, I could watch that all day...

He was the best player in the world. Very briefly, possibly for 12-18 months, but at one fleeting moment England had the best footballer on the planet.

One of the greatest players of all time, and for me the best player ever produced in the UK. Outstanding talent, incredible dribbling, free kicks and the way he "passed " the ball into the net with either foot, his heading wasn't bad either. . In his day no one....could touch him. Thanks Gazza

The parallels between Gasgoine and Best are so obvious. In football and life.

His two best goals for me was the free kick for Spurs v Arsenal in 91 FA Cup Semi-Final (Seaman one of the best Keepers around at that time left stunned) and THAT goal v Scotland at Euro 96. Arguably the finest footballer England's ever produced, up there with the likes of Best, Cruyff, Messi and Maradonna for sheer skill alone.
  • Personalmente il piu' grande calciatore inglese di tutti I tempi grandissimo GAZZA.

Gazza... a very special talent. Just Magical..
  • Gazza had a presence on and off the pitch. He lived for football. A great, great player. I feel blessed to have seen him play. Hold it up Gazza and thankyou for what you brought to beautiful game.
  • If he was disciplined and didn’t spend most of his free time partying and drinking too much, we would be talking about the best player of all time. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player with as much natural talent as Gazza.

There is no one else with the possible exception of Bobby Charlton who iis anywhere near this incredible man! He is England's forerunner of Messi and Pele. If our system in the UK was truly righteous, then it would have 'knighted' him and given him a prestigious pension for his life. If the system had done that, perhaps it could have spared him from all his subsequent problems. Shame on our system, and still Glory for Paul Gascoigne. Send a donation to him today. Your love and kindness will surely touch this great man's heart. He may die soon. Do it today to show your appreciation.

Tremendo. Rápido de piernas y de mente, gambeteador de arqueros, mejor pateador de tiros libres. El gol que hace pateando de rabona el penal, a Irlanda del norte, es de otro planeta, nunca visto. Toro
  • Imo he played some of his best football for Rangers, we will always remember you Gazza,WATP 🇬🇧👍

He was gifted with a magical touch, and incredible strength on the ball. Just like Maradona, you knew that as soon as he got the ball he could hold it, move and the magic would flow.

I'm always surprised by how many of his highlights come from his time at Rangers. I always assumed that he was well past his best by that time.
  • @andyharris17able
His gift was football a genius . When not playing he was a very messed up man .

I'm no Rangers fan but the Gascoigne & Laudrup partnership was dynamite. Gazz played his best football at Tottenham & Rangers, but I think living in Glasgow with our lax attitudes to drink helped hasten his downfall. The best player to never play for Man United as they say.
