Give Me an Answer - This Culture We Are Living In, God Can Change That!

Published 2022-04-16
Program 1222 ................... - Culture and Evolution - Jesus as God - Historically Reliability .................................................................

Recorded at Texas - September 2021.

The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

  • How long has he been doing this? Why am I just now finding this? Especially when I went my entire life criticizing those that read & lived by the Bible. Even didn’t believe in Jesus now look at me … Life hasn’t been the same since I opened the Bible.
  • @BobDobalena
The first guy is the perfect example of trying to win an argument and not trying to have an actual discussion.

Some people argue just for the sake of arguing. Frank Turek made a great point. He asked people “ If Christianity were proven true, would you become a Christian?” (Surrender/ submit to Jesus). A LOT of people answer “No”. It’s not a “facts/ evidence “ issue, it’s a pride/ “I’m going to serve myself, not Christ” issue. People don’t WANT Jesus to be real. They like living their life without anyone telling them they’re accountable, or how to live.

Please pray for me and my children this passover. I’m ready to give up. But my faith in Jesus won’t let me. I lost my job as a social worker because I declined the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health condition (Lupus) and heart disease. I’m on a bunch of medications including blood thinners. I was denied my medical/religious exemption from Forsyth hospital. Since losing my job I’ve been struggling to make ends meet. I’m a single mother with two young autistic children. This month I’m facing homelessness. We have nowhere to go. Struggling daily to provide groceries. I’m so ashamed and embarrassed over my situation. I am so overwhelmed, it’s so hard on me. I am all alone no family nor friends to help me durning this time. Please keep me and my children in your prayers this easter. Even though I’m facing homelessness I still have FAITH God will provide!

Thank you Cliff, your videos have strengthened my faith and gave me a response to people who claim God isn’t real
  • @ImCeeJH
The first guy doesn’t realize, but he’s arguing purely from a point of pride. Arguing about who has a stronger faith is pointless, especially in this scenario.
  • @flickedbic
As an agnostic I really appreciate what you're doing. Thank you.

It's hard, but we as believers in Christ, will continue to speak what is true, till the end, and it's up to unbelievers to decide.

The movie “Spinal Tap” was created in the 1980’s as a comedic historical imagination documentary. It was revolutionary for its day. So much so, in fact, that major film companies refused to produce the movie. They could not grasp the concept of a fake history documentary about a fictional rock band. After it was eventually created, it was viewed as artistic genius. The concept of historical fiction IS as Cliff says, not something that was common in ancient times.

Hello from Australia all glory to God 🙏
  • Christians don’t be a passive lukewarm believer. Be the church be intentional in prayer to be a witness and act. Plant seeds to the strong believer and lukewarm believer. We’re to display our substance of faith in Christ. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life. 1 Peter 3:15 👑 Matthew 28:19 Revelation 3:16

"We have written these things that u may know..."- evidence based Faith..

"...Through faith we UNDERSTAND that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." Hebrews 11:3

I’d be interested to know the young man’s take on the scripture that says “always be prepared to give an answer for the faith that you hold”…

King David said, "I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself."--Psalm 119:52. Despite the oppression David was under, he nonetheless trusted God because he knew from personal experience--evidence--that God is trustworthy. David did not blindly or naively believe.
  • I'm starting to hear this "deconstruction of faith" movement more frequently and I really have to agree with Cliff here. You can't just blindly believe, seeking evidence of truth is very important in the process of faith. It's actually helped strengthen my faith personally, along with regularly reading scripture and studying the word. Searching for evidence is not a matter of "testing God". If I blindly put my faith in Jesus without looking at evidence of whether Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism ect was reliable (or any combination including Christianity) I would be taking a big gamble with my eternity. If you want to get technical, reading the Bible alone is a type of "looking for evidence" and "testing God", so unless you chose to believe in Jesus just because it's a popular opinion or someone told you to do it, then you had to look at the scriptures and determine whether or not you think it's reliable and true. I believe that guy was being incredibly dishonest with his position, almost to a point of arrogance and self righteousness which is a very dangerous position to take with Jesus. Have a healthy relationship with the Lord by learning of him. God bless.

Watching cliffes old videos and new videos, I can definitely see a difference in the maturity level of college students. The students in the older videos look like adults but the college students today look more like kids
  • @MrMagaManTron
Cliffs patience is amazing. Some of the questions/statements (like rejecting reason) are so odd sometimes I wouldn’t even know how to answer them. He navigates them wonderfully. God is definitely working through him
