Also remember that 24mph that he clocked (against Fiji in 2021) was 73mins deep into a game, a game where he had played all 73 mins (only 80 mins in a game in two 40 min halves). He had played offence and defence, constantly on the move running tackling etc, then ran 24mph. In NFL his legs would pretty much always be fresh so the pads may slow him slightly from this, but not as much of an impact as you might think. Now he gets to concentrate on purely his speed, his fitness is less of a requirement, he should only get faster.

If you are an honest journalist how do you not mention Jordan Mialota, the highest paid guard in the NFL, who came into the NFL through IPP?
  • @alunmorgan2352
Come on, he’s up against guys much bigger than 250 and gets thumped, stamped on etc. He’s a rugby player, they don’t cower. And that’s without pads and helmet. A nice listen but that part was insulting
  • @alunmorgan2352
Sorry to say but as far as his position is concerned he was top five. He was running high 4.2s and low 4.3S in IPP. Coach backed this up. 4.43 was a shocker

Rugby fan here, fantasy football seems like a serious business!

Don't the Chiefs have an IPP player who has been on their roster for a couple of years?

Time will tell already working out with Mahomes in Texas as will some receivers in draft. It is no risk high reward. I’m stoked most rugby players were already passed prime.

He posted his pro day figures after years being conditioned to play rugby too. Rugby Players are hybrid athletes. Yes, there are 300lb players and elite sprinters in that game but either they tend to be impact subs or their explosive potential is compromised by rugby's requirement to have huge aerobic work rate. There are only 23 players in a rugby squad, so half of them will have to play a full 80 minutes, around 40 minutes of which will be ball in play. It's a different type of athleticism from what's required in the NFL and that's what he's been conditioned for. He'll now be fully conditioned to play American Football. I dont think he'll get faster but it's quite possible he'll bulk up without losing any pace. For example.
  • RC probably put LRZ as his wr 1 in this class above Marvin Harrison inbetween beer 13-14 at the pub 😂
  • @randyschwaggins
It's Louis (as in Lewis or 'Loo-is' - not Luis or 'Loo-ees')😀
  • @jakhaughton1800
1k plans! That is insane. NFL seems more like chess where everything is pre planned. LRZ will show how many ways to skin a cat.
  • @jeffwatts4264
believe me , helmet and pads wont slow LRZ down , his vision with a helmet on may be hindered ,but thats all , so far as taking hits off bigger guys , hes already made big guys look silly , from a welshman who was absolutely gutted to lose him , personally i hope he flops in nfl so we get him back , but its not gonna happen
  • This guy is overhyped and has BUST written all over him! He'll be out of the league in a year!

There would be a 100 college kids or ex players, better...just publicity
