Great video. I live in Calgary and ride the pathways often. Your video reminds me how fortunate we are to live here.
  • Thanks. I live in Airdrie and am looking forward to the day the two cities are connected by a bike path.
  • Wonderfully done. This encourages me to buy a bike & start slowly on these parks. Thank you making this clip.
  • We bike a lot in Edmonton because that's where we live. Thanks for sharing this route. I think we'll try this on our way to Johnston Canyon!

Moved to Calgary last year and have only just been able to order a new XC bike. I will definitely be doing this loop!
  • @Razordreamz
I did almost this exact loop about 2 years ago. Started at Sikomie and went to downtown , so the same loop but in reverse basically. Was a great ride.

Great video. This is one of my favourite bike paths in the city too. You got a great day for footage…you really showcased Calgary well! It’s such a beautiful city, we are lucky.

Thanks for posting. This is exactly what I want to do when I visit in a few months! This is the loop I want to take for sure!
  • @admeister8
Nice job on the vid! I'll keep this in mind to experience Calgary one day! (currently doing the Toronto thing).

just came across this and I learned a new loop! great video thanks!

Awesome, Erika. I will have to try your route sometime. I am in Parkdale, and I tend tend to go up to the zoo, past Science Ctr., past golf course, and up to Nose Hill area, where I usually get lost! Eventuallly find my way home, but it is a good one.

What a wonderful place to call home, I'm so envious! 😃👍
  • @denejean
Thanks, Erika! I do a portion of this loop every weekday on my way back and forth to work - I feel so fortunate to be able to enjoy the beautiful Glenmore Reservoir every day and some days, go as far as downtown to meet a friend. Also live proximate to Fish Creek so know that let well. I look forward to doing the whole loop this summer - thanks for sharing! When friends ask me what they should do if they only have a couple days to visit Calgary, I say "Rent a bike!" (and visit me, of course!😉) I look forward to your other guided tours!

Thank you. Great summary of the many locations to see on one circuit.

I have 3 favorite routes in Calgary,,, with my e bike :) I live in the NE so that's my starting point. Similar to her route but I take it all way down to Fish Creek Park, bike across the park to the other end and ride up to Glen more reservoir and back to DT and up to NE. The trail that leads to the tip of NW from NE to DT and cycle straight NW all the way to the end, beautiful view's. Last but not least the trail to Chestermere from NE, Ride is fairly flat but relaxing.
  • Thanks for the video. We did two sections over two days. Fish Creek Simoke Lake to Harvie Passage and the Simoke Lake west Fish Creek. Loved it. Wouldn’t have thought to come to Calgary without your video. We cycle on e-bikes with a Burley trailer for our pet goat, Boots.
  • Yeah that's a great loop! I really like the Mattamy loop, it's bit more industrial but I always see neat things (once a hobo camp!).
  • @johnwall7575
Super cool bike path! I had no idea there were so many nice parks in Calgary🧌
