Amen my brother that was an awesomely interesting video from start to finish God bless.

Very educational. The best video I've found on Mandrake so far.

Bought a packet of their Mandragora officinarum seeds and planted half in pots and half outdoors at the beginning of January. Hopefully they grow. Been growing Daturas and Henbanes for decades. It'd be near impossible to confuse the seeds of Henbanes with the Mandrake officinarum, but they're near identical to those of the daturas D. wrightii and D. innoxia.

Thank you for treatment

Lovely, informative video. I grow officinarums and turcomanicas for many years now in the Sierra Nevada foothills in Central California. Mandrakes do well here with some winter protection. A challenging but satisfying plant to grow when they share their magic with you. 🌱

Song of Solomon 7:13- …12Let us go early to the vineyards to see if the vine has budded, if the blossom has opened, if the pomegranates are in bloom—there I will give you my love. 13The mandrakes send forth a fragrance, and at our door is every delicacy, new as well as old, that I have treasured up for you, my beloved.

So much great information about growing Mandrake. I love that you included its history and magical lore. I have become a much better herb gardener from subscribing to your channel. Location, soil, drainage, including rocks to help simulate the native growing environment Thank YOU this is so helpful. You always have the most amazing inventory of seeds!

I have a mandrake plant that I purchased from you about 6 years ago. I live in a cold climate so I have to keep it potted and move it from its summer quarters - the greenhouse - to winter quarters - my basement under lights. I now have to use a clay pot that's over 14 inches high in each location and just move it from one to the other because the main root was a little over 14 inches long when I tucked it in for the winter last October. (pots that size are too big for me to move) As for fertility, I put a cupful of earthworms in the soil when I transplanted it and now that potting soil looks like its mostly worms! The worms have become fruitful and multiplied. Thanks for the video, I learned quite a bit.

That’s one high maintenance plant.

Genesis 30:14-16 English Standard Version 14 In the days of wheat harvest Reuben went and found mandrakes in the field and brought them to his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, “Please give me some of your son's mandrakes.”

Ah. I used fast draining soil but the resin pot really held on to the water so they never came up. Will repot in clay and keep an eye out. Thanks.
-
Dragon is literally the Greek word for snake. Those berries aren’t poisonous. The root is if used improperly.
