Jimmy corralling the other three for bed just reminded me of someone with entirely too many children. Lizzie’s the little 4yo that gets in bed just fine, Joel’s the 6yo that doesn’t want to be, but it you sit there with him, he’ll go to sleep, and Grian is the 8yo that thinks he should have a later bedtime and gets up the second you leave. So Jimmy, the parent, simultaneously needs to sit with Joel but also be staring at Grian, and just spends the whole night going between the kids’ rooms.
