The outline of a generational player is coming into form now. He can get his own shot at all 3 levels of the court at a high level, can rebound, can create for others, is learning to break down defensive coverages and beat doubles with his playmaking, can punish in transition, can play elite on-ball defense, can serve as a weak side rim protector, can draw a ton of fouls, and is an absolutely killer closer on both ends of the floor. In a sweep, the Timberwolves played a team with KD, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, and he was unambiguously the best player on the court. He’s already putting all of that together as a 22 year old high-volume shooting guard, on the biggest stage of his career, on one of the best teams in basketball.
