VoiceAttack - Quick Tutorial: Profile Packaging

Published 2024-05-18
VoiceAttack is a voice command program that allows us to create our own custom voice commands which carry out actions for us such simple keypress(es) or keypress macros, and much more.

We can export these "profiles" of voice command sets and share them with others. We can also create "profile packages" which can contain not only the profile to import but also any required folders and files, such as sound effects accessed by the profile. We can create our own profiles, or import profiles into VoiceAttack to add it to our list of profiles which we can switch to, or utilize in other profiles, or globally.

Profiles are basically containers of voice command sets that can instruct any version of VoiceAttack to create a new profile with those commands, actions, and options. Most folks create a new profile for each game they might make commands for, and some games have many public profiles offered by various profile developers.

Profile packages make it easy to distribute a single file to our friends and the general public which include all the individual files our profile needs to function, all without providing extra steps for our end users to manually move such files into place.

Thanks for watching and I hope this helps!
