  • She did the best possible job she could with the material given. The story is not her fault.
  • @Thornus_______
I never held the actors for being responsible for it I think they did the best they could with what they had
  • @rickyricardo2280
I love how everyone learned from Hayden and isn’t blaming her
  • My God, an interview with an actor who speaks honestly, openly, and gives their personal perspective. Actually interesting and insightful. Love it.

It's honestly a miracle with how bad her writing was, Daisy never seemed unlikable on screen. She is a good actress. The good parts that come from the character of Rey are attributed to Daisy, no one else.

You can tell she’s being as nice as she can be.. There’s a lot more that she wants to say but can’t.
  • @TJ_mx
She’s a gem, no ego - no lies, no delusions.
  • I can’t imagine being a part of something that a billion strangers have opinions on. It must be exhausting.
  • It's always interesting to see how actors are credited with both the successes AND the failures of what is otherwise in the hands of writers, directors, producers, editors, marketers, etc. But that's just how it goes.

I will never deny not liking the sequels and thinking the writing was a dumpster fire. What I will NEVER say is that any of the actors were to blame. NONE OF THEM. Daisy, John, Oscar, Rose; Mark, Harrison & Carrie's reunion...they all got shafted by others. So, respect to the actors. Always.

Its not her fault. She’s a great actor and a lovely person. It’s Disney’s fault 100%. I feel bad mostly for John Boyega and how they wasted his character.
  • @Stephen-un8zd
She is an actor. She arrived at her job and ACTED. Blame the people whose sole job was to make the story good
  • @silver292
She is being veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery diplomatic here. Anyone who watched that movie knows it was an editing nightmare. Really hope they give her a story and character that's worth telling in this next one. Just as much for her sake as for ours.
  • @surlyedi
The problem was never the acting, it was the story, and the actors deserved a better story to be a part of.
  • @jace76ful
She has the most adorable smile on the planet. I think she did great. She is the actor, not the writer. That being said, she was actually my favorite in that trilogy.
  • @Salsa_Shark
Imagine being cast as the lead in the most anticipated 3 movies ever and have it turn out this way.
  • @Christian39521
Coincidently, I rewatched it the other day. I have my issues with those movies. But I never blame her. I actually like Daisy Ridley. Is not her fault. She didn't write, produce and direct those movies. She was just doing the job she was hired for. Just like I have issues with Superman Returns but I don't blame Brandon Routh. I'll give the movie this, at least they tried to please fans. Because of the reception to the previous one. Is like JJ was, I heard you. It was silly Luke throwing the lightsaber away. They tried. And I'm not going to lie, seeing Lando on screen put a smile on my face.

As much as I didnt like the sequel films, seeing little kids dressed as Rey and Kylo Ren at the Disney parks really and truly warms my heart.
