This is a guide all about the Charged Dash skill, how it works and how to build around its unique mechanics.

By the way, for me Charged Dash doesn't work properly if I bind it to my mouse button. If you run into problems where CD repeatedly cancels itself, try binding it to a keyboard key.

One thing I forgot to mention is that CD can spend more time traveling if you curve the path, ie. you build up more stages if you do a loop-de-loop. This isn't relevant to the average dps, but it means that if you want the largest individual hits (say, for freezing bosses), you should spin your cursor around your character.

The absolute maximum stages achievable is 15 stages.

I don't know if I made the damage mechanics clear enough in the explanation but I'll put them here again:

The base damage of the skill listed on the gem is 110% at level 20. I will refer to this as the "listed damage".
While moving: 100% of the listed damage effect every other attack -- that's 100%/2 or 50% average of the listed damage.
On release: Every stage (every individual attack) from the channel deals 75% of the listed damage in one large superhit.
Channel then release: 50% + 75% per attack, or 125% of the listed damage.
Holding at full stages: Same as damage while moving, with a 150% More multiplier. So, 100% * 250% / 2, or again 125% of the listed damage.
The skill has a 160% attack speed modifier on it, speeding up your attacks by +60%.
Putting it all together, the listed damage is 110%, times the stacking bonus of 125%, times the attack speed of 160%.
110% x 1.25 x 1.6 = 2.2
Charged Dash has an effective 220% base damage.

  • Just wanna make sure, when I realease the skill those aoe attacks are individual so one can crit and another one might not? (i hope the crit doesnt roll once, at the beggining of the channeling because then we have to scale crit close to 100% to make it viable)
