There was a comment on a SmoughTown video for Mohg that viewed the twins as showing different reactions to growing up in an abusive situation: Morgott was desperate to be loved so he stayed loyal to the Erdtree and tried to reject his Omen heritage (it looks like he has cut off some of the horns on his face area), while Mohg wanted to burn it all down and revelled in his Omen heritage, to the extent that his horns have outgrown to the extent that he is partially blinded. But I always found Morgott's story one of the saddest tales in all of Elden Ring: the only demigod who stayed loyal to the thing that hated him right to the end, and all for nought, even though he was granted Grace and the title Lord of Leyndell: even his Great Rune is proof of his heritage in the Golden Lineage. No matter what he does, the Erdtree will remain sealed to all. And harshest of all, his Omen curse is finally lifted right before he dies.
  • I like to think that despite them having almost polar opposite ideologies they both agree both agree that the frenzied flame is too dangerous to be communed with. Which is the reason they both protect the entrance I think it adds a lot to their relationship and really shows how dangerous the frenzied flame is when protecting it is the only thing that gets the brothers to work together.

Also if you notice the Albinaurics and Sanguine nobles who recieved Mogh's Blood alos grew Omen horns.

I wonder in the land of shadows if we can grow crucible/omen horns of our own. Similar to the dragon transformation from dark souls 1 and 3. It's highly unlikely, but the concept is cool.

Here's my belief with Morgot. He answers to the greater will directly, not the Golden Order. Hence why upon his dead we see the greater will lifting his curse. As when you talk to his corpse he doesn't have horns anymore.

Morgott is my favorite character in Elden Ring because he still serves the order that despises him, even holding leyendell together after the shattering. While he brother went off to start his own empire he stayed loyal that I can identify with

really glad to finally see an omen twin lore video, not talked about enough in lore circles.

I just watched a video about some of what the creator thought was mistranslations of the crucible with the word primordial being misused and misrepresenting what was meant. And it mentions a spot where the colors red and gold are used as descriptions of the crucible Era and the beginning. Which stood out very much in your title of the omen twins. Souls that are "touched by the crucible" and they happen to be red and gold... interesting!! EDIT: the video is from the last protagonist. If anyone is interested in what im saying. And red and gold do come up quite a bit in the erd and crucible eras

I get the feeling that Godfrey isn’t the biological father of the Omen Twins. Godwyn was his child but seemingly born without affliction. Maybe the affair or seduction mentioned in the DLC trailer was hinting towards Marika having another baby daddy in the Shadow Land. Would make a lil sense seeing all the crucible imagery in the Shadow Land Love these videos btw
  • They were granted great runes because they were still her children and she somewhat cared about them
  • Don’t think I’ve ever clicked onto a video so quickly, thanks for the great content.

Morgott will always be an true hero & king of Leyndell even with their divine Omen blood still kept incredible faith & duty to the Golden Order & Erdtree protecting the city during "The Shattering" from the traitorous Demigods earning respect from the people & warriors alike during the war such an amazing Lord truly befits an crown indeed . I also believe Godfrey was proud of his son protecting the city and had only upmost admiration for him since the guidance of grace leads to your Tarnish before the fight from Morgott's passing. I just wanna hug Morgott and tell him their beautiful after his fight. :( As my message say in his boss arena. Visions of grace… But still no love…

I think thats Mesmers hand in the cocoon we have to touch to enter the DLC. I'm predicting a major plot twist there
  • @AegisKHAOS
I am SO looking forward to the DLC. One area in particular is the holes filled in the lore, such as with the omens if the hints from the trailers and artwork seem to hint.
  • A few things: 1 no, the mogh we fight in the shunning grounds isnt an illusion made by mogh, its Morgott's work, evidence being the fact that it disappears into golden dust when defeated, just like Margit. 2: Mogh needs Miqueloa because he himslef isnt an empyrean, he cant become the god his dynasty needs so he aims to do what we do as tarnished during the normal ending, to become the consort of the current god and thus elden lord
  • I believe Morgott was accepted by the erd tree and the golden order. In the cutscene with Godfrey, when Morgott passes his ashes are golden not the grey we usually see.

Bit off topic, but as far as I know the voice actor for Messmer hasn't been reveled yet... but I swear he sounds like Pip Torrens (voice of Vare'). He was great in the AMC series 'Preacher' where he played the head of the Assassins for the Church. Since Elden Ring's release, Pip is now my favorite voice actor by a mile!
