The COLD is a poem brought to life with the help of talented artist and animator, Thomas Scott Cecil.

I wrote this poem in...hell, I don't even remember. I was a weird kid. Spent a lot of time conjuring up disturbing images and scenarios. Sometimes I tried to make them rhyme. This is the result of one of those times. I blame the influences of Stephen King and Emily Dickinson.

  • Great work brother. I liked the narration. I too grew up a lover of poetry/literature in general. What i like most about this particular presentation is that it isn't too melodramatic in tone. One thing i disliked in spoken word works of the early and mid 20th century was the tendency for many poets to adopt that Transatlantic/Mid-Atlantic accent. I realize that eas just the trend in those days, but it personally struck me as highly inauthentic and contrived. (especially t.s. eliots spoken word poems he recorded. Although as a WRITER, I loved eliot.) Youve got a good, natural presentation in this piece and to me that is refreshing. I've tried recording some if my own via a cellphone but my voice always sounds horribly OFF and foreign to my ears that i get discouraged and abandon hope. The animations for this are pretty nice too. It has a sort of Tim Burton air about it. Bravo đź‘Źđź‘Ś
