  • David Gilmour—dressed like he just arrived to fix your plumbing, crushing the greatest guitar solo of all time, and acting like it’s just a normal Wednesday. Absolute legend.
  • For me, this is the greatest guitar solo ever done. Period. I cannot watch this without tearing up. It’s perfection.

I have to give you credit young lady for not interrupting the greatest guitar solo of all time.
  • @Jeff-66
Congrats on finally discovering the greatest band of all time.

I've heard this song 1000s of times. It still gives me goosebumps.

I guess I will speak on behalf of everyone: THANK YOU for not pausing on the guitar solo. Stopping a David Gilmour solo is sacrilegious in the music world. Also, welcome to Pink Floyd. I refer to Pink Floyd as the truest form of art in rock music. Like painting murals in music form.

It is an emotional rise...like the feeling you get when you are gonna cry being overwhelmed with something...rising up your throat to your head, feeling flushed, and feeling tears start...yeah, that feeling. I get it every time with that solo. Never fails...since I first saw them in concert 50 years ago!

Experiencing Pink Floyd live was one of the greatest moments of my 6 decades of life.
  • @rudzig
I’m a 68 year old man and I still get emotional with that solo. Bravo Mr Gilmore

I could comment about how well David Gilmour and Richard Wright harmonize. I could talk about how well they performed together on the song "Echoes," and that since Rick's death, Dave won't play "Echoes" anymore. I could blather on about how probably 35% of that audience may well have come to that show simply to experience Dave's second guitar solo there. I could pontificate about how Dave's biggest talent is his utter ability to -- not play, but emote -- with that guitar in his hands. I could go on at length about how how happy it made me to see you react as you listened... ...but no. All I can really say is that the most emotional part about this for me was seeing Dave Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason sharing a stage together, even if it was recorded nearly thirty years ago... and knowing that it can never happen again. We still love you, Richard, and we miss you.

Watching your facial and body reactions to David's guitar solo tells me you feel what I do each time I hear it.
  • David always hits that PERFECT note. One of the greatest guitarists of all time! ✌ More Floyd Please! 🤞

Tears during a David Gilmour solo are not uncommon. His guitar is more than an instrument, it's an extension of the soul.

I'm a millennial and was only introduced to Pink Floyd in the late 90s by my step father and was hooked. 2nd generation classic rock listener and have never looked back. Absolutely the best guitar solo of all time!
  • @elexmage806
I took my 3 children to see Pink Floyd when they were preteens, knowing they would never hear a better band in their lives. They still remember it like it was yesterday.
  • @kevingamble8861
Probably the best guitar solo in a live performance ever. Goosebumps.
  • @capetowntrikeman
That is regarded by many as the greatest live guitar solo in music history and I'm so glad you did not pause it. Same concert...Sorrow, High Hopes, Wish You Were Here, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Coming back To Life...this entire concert is a masterpiece.
  • @L555HEP
The 2 greatest guitar solos in one song. Madness
  • @curbowman
I like how she spent a loooong time without blinking her eyes.
