  • As a new hiker, I feel validated by the fact that Miranda, a much more experienced hiker/backpacker, also hates the uphill parts 😂

videos on emergency situations would be good to see. what do to when you see a bear, or threatening wild life, cleaning a cut on trail, how to stay warm in rainy conditions etc. have fun!

Hey Miranda! I’d love to see you planning a trip from start to finish. Like planning the list of things you need, to purchasing the new gear, to planning the shuttle if needed, to seeking places to camp on a backpacking trail,to picking up passes, and just tips in general along the way, it’s all rather complicated! Lol

Watching this video after knowing that Nala has crossed the rainbow bridge is bittersweet. I really hope that Miranda soon finds a new hiking pal. In the meantime, I'm really enjoying seeing lil Nala bear hiking with her beloved human. <3
  • I loved this blog type. I would really love to see one for the day of. Like packing, parking, starting. Day 1 is always the most daunting to me.

Woooh! More please! Lots of jokes and laughing is the best, with sprinkles of yummy tips and tricks! Cheers!

I felt so bad for Nala, but the way you dispatched that tick right on trail ❤️ You are a great dog mom.
  • Because I’m a procrastinator when it comes to getting out of camp there are a couple of habits I stick to. Before I get out of the tent in the morning ( no matter how bad I have to pee) I pack up everything in the tent. Then I pack up the tent while I’m heating water for coffee. By the time I eat breakfast I’m 90% packed. It really helps me get out of camp quicker.

I have NEVER actually watched a Facebook ad, nor do I like camping/hiking, but once yours started playing I just found it so interesting and entertaining. So much so that I searched to see if you had your own channel. Now I look forward to watching more outdoorsy doings from the comfort of my favorite reading chair. 😊 I'll also be sharing this with my kids, all adults, who absolutely love the outdoors. Middle and his girlfriend son are currently camping and hiking in Yellowstone.

Great video. Being that I just started hiking last year, I’ve learned a lot from the REI channel and website. Please continue to provide more videos about backpacking, day hiking, and rock climbing/rappelling.
  • Stehekin is amazing! I spent 6 months living there as a kayak guide in 2015 and it was the best experience! The community is incredible and you can't beat the recreation opportunities. Glad you had a great time!

That tick brought out Miranda's dark side! I get it though. I remember (at my first Boy Scout Jamboree many years ago) seeing tortoises around the lake that were badly infested with them. Some of the ticks were several inches across they were so bloated. YUCK. You keep fighting the good anti-tick fight, Miranda!!

I have that exact same pillow, a pillow trick I read was to slip a t-shirt over the top of your air mattress, and put the pillow in there to keep it in place while you sleep, I haven't tried it yet but seems like a good tip.
  • I really enjoyed this vid. I liked seeing the products and your comments on them from the use of those products. Thanks for taking us on this trip. The views were amazing.
  • I love watching your videos . Their is so much information in them and oddly enough they are relaxing to watch. Thank You for the enjoyment & knowledge.

  • @MarkelBeverley
"This is my show, gosh darn"! That is brilliant. I'm serious. That will make people never forget you. Even if they don't remember specific videos.
  • I love seeing you doing backpack video’s. I appreciate you telling all about the equipment!
  • @annlee8361
Ticks are indeed the a-holes of the wild!
  • Great video start to finish. Love seeing you hike with the dog too. Nala is a gem. Thanks! More more.
