Yes, they must find ways to displace more residents, it’s the way California (currently) rolls.

This is dumb. Interest rates will go down eventually. They don't have to build it right now. F the city council for not forcing them to create mixed use. Vote them out.

With every business that goes up. The planning division should mandate to build employee housing. Low income. That matches wages

Government was intended to stand up for citizens/voters. Instead they stand up with everyone else that's against us.

Good. There's too many houses being built anyways
  • No one mentions how air be b and vacation rentals take away housing from the rental market. Those owners make lots of profits to afford increasing utility bills but small business owners under rent control have to absorb the increases. Why does it have to go to plan I g? Why not let the residents stay? The housing crisis is in part due to the city govt. and planning dept’s. Dealings with developers which ultimately displaced people and forces small businesses to sell. Then, new owners don’t have to abide by rent control which makes housing more unaffordable because they change what they want. The man on the news should be able to stay right where he has been for the last 30 plus years. The developments are the problem. They aren’t affordable but just open space to bring in more people who have bigger dollars. Why are we developing when water costs are skyrocketing bc of a “shortage”. Does that make good sense ? It greed and corruption at every turn in San Diego these days.

It's 2024 Lemon Grove, time to move away from car centric business. Downtown has the bones to be good, this is not going to help your city.

This isn't displacement, the homeowners have a choice and its up to them to sell out. Theyll probably be handsomely compensated

idiocracy! there is no shortage of cheap commercial real-estate, it's all going for a discount, meanwhile there is a housing shortage.
