"I cannot change the history, I cannot change the past. But we all together you I'm on you, some of the most talented people in the world we can make sure that the history/record is set straight and that the truth will prevail and that the people of Mariupol and those who given their lives will never be forgotten because cinema forms memories and memories form history" To the people of Ukraine!!! Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦!!!

The loudest applause came for the announcements of To Kill A Tiger and 20 Days In Mariupol
  • @Neganfan
This win was pretty obvious given the current war occurring in Ukraine

So glad 20 Days In Mariupol won the Oscar. First Oscar for Ukraine but how he said he wished he never made this film got me. This was not the documentary we wanted to be the first Best Documentary Winner for Ukraine. Hope more are made, maybe a nice heartwarming and feel good one. Probably about teen Olympic diver Oleksii Sereda or about music or about Ukrainian mythology. He should have also thanked Zelensky and said something in Ukrainian and that was subtitled. And he should have also acknowledged the Russians that refused to be in the war and that protested and that are anti war protesters too. Not just for that but against every kind of war saying that he didn’t want anyone else to go through what he went through Every Body, It Ain’t Over, Spellers, Black Ice, A Revolution On Canvas, Stamped From The Beginning, American Symphony, Beyond Utopia, The Pigeon Tunnel, After Death, Yellow Door 90s Film Club and Still A Micheal J Fox Story were snubbed. But hey, we can’t nominate every documentary. This year was rich with documentaries Bobi Wine The People’s President was lucky to be nominated, hope more African documentaries are nominated. 2 were this year, the French language documentary Incorruptible from Senegal should have been nominated. Maybe the next documentary about that in Senegal would be nominated. Other documentaries from Africa that I hope are made and Oscar nominated would be one about autism in the Ivory Coast, horse racing in Lesotho, gay in Ghana, gay in Uganda, gay in Kenya, gay in Burkina Faso, Niger rap, Youssou N’Dour, the RTI channel, Burkina Faso in Hajj, Mali in Haij, Ivory Coast in Hajj, Desmond Tutu. A variety of African movies should be submitted to the Oscars, Oscars need to fix its Africa problem The Eternal Memory was also lucky to be nominated. Second documentary from Chile to be Oscar nominated since The Mole Agent. Hope more documentaries from their or in Spanish are nominated. Too be honest. This year’s documentaries hardly had any competition

DRAKE PARKER: "Jurassic Park", "Jurassic World", "Jurassic World: Dominion". JOSH NICHOLS: Drake, those are not documentaries. DRAKE PARKER: Yes they are! EXTERMINATOR: What's wrong with him? JOSH NICHOLS: Yeah, I'm not sure. 🐊🐶 (From the 'Vicious Tiberius' episode of "Drake & Josh")

Чернов смог выдать заукраинство и антиукраинство одновременно (антиукраинство заключается в том, что он "благодарит Россию что она не убила ещё больше людей"😂)
