Why are the Harriers in peacetime colours ? Also there was the story of the Harrier pilot who go lost in 1982 and had to land on the cargo ship

Cap: we can't afford to lose time, start, start start. Also Cap: oh, everyone has already started. 😂 I love the way your doing your thing Cap.

Pretty funny. Can you imagine standing on a bouncing boat going 40mph aiming a gun at a Maverick missile? You couldn't hit a C130, forget even seeing a tiny Maverick flying straight at you.
  • i know that it is not in game but i think wildcat with 20 martlet missiles each would be the weapon of choice for this type of attack as a martlet is only about 30k and 20 can be carried by 1 helicopter

Having served on HMS Illustrious I love it when you feature the invincible class carrier (through deck cruiser was its real name)
  • @1.25 Manpad also lethal to the guys standing behind the launcher :D
  • I can see the idea here about the SPEAR 3. I read somwhere that these missiles are so small and if launched in swarms, it is very hard to detect and track them, and you are right, these are designed to destroy small targets/disable large ships.. A very interesting but a smart way to deal with ships/boats... and very cheap too... + Royal Navy are considering to make them compatible with the VLS on the Type 45/Type 26/Type 31/Type 32.(Quad packed in each VLS).

Love these old vs new comparison videos :)
  • Love your videos and your professionalism with each other makes them so much more fun.

Brussel sprouts cooked in butter and olive oil with garlic and onion…fried up crispy on the outside and tender inside…it doesn’t get any better than that!

🐍 Fun Fact: sea snakes have extremely small fangs and are considered harmless unless you pick one up. The last fatality was years ago - a fishing trawler crew member separating by-catch from a net.

Ref Seaslug, I found a source online saying HMS Glamorgan had one ready to fire at the Argentinian Civil Registered 707 that was shadowing the Taskforce. If my memory serves, this shadowing stopped either after SHARs went up, or after Nimrod was fitted with Sidewinders, leading to it being called “the largest fighter in the world!” The Seaslug was never fired at the 707, but was fired at an Argentinian EW Radar on East Falkland that Shrike and Martel attacks had failed to destroy. Apparently the missile hit and destroyed the radar, after its location was pinpointed by RWR and other ESM assets on several ships giving a triangulation point. The launch generated such fire and smoke British troops on shore enquired if Glamorgan had been hit! The missiles were also used to try and interfere with Argentinian C130 ops from Stanley Runway, firing the missiles along the runways axis on several occasions. I believe YT doesn’t allow links in comments, but the source can be found under “Seaslug In The Falklands” on the “Little Wars” website.

Brussels Sprouts cooked in a cast iron pan with bacon and maple syrup. Mmmmm…

You should do three 1990s US carrier groups vs. one 2020s Chinese carrier group.
  • Laser guided hydra rockets would be good in this role. And cheaper
  • Have seen renderings of spear 3 on a typhoon (can carry a lot of these). As Germany just adapted brimstone3, it may be attractive to add spear3, too
  • You could always program them for the electronic emissions of the ships as well.

Yo Cap! I'd love to see A-10C's, MB-339 Aermacchi's, Super Tucano's, OV-10's, and Pucara's using APKWS VS Boghammar Swarm and Drone Swarm at the same time plus guns/cannons are allowed!👍

Venezuela also has quite a few of those small boats from iran (since they couldn't afford to maintain bigger boats, instead they switched to this swarm guerrilla model instead for now). so in case the UK has to protect guyana with the US (which i don't think it'll come to tbh, so far things are fine), it's another case for their use. lets hope not IRL, but in simulations if you guys wanna try it tho.
