Fun fact: Around the castle walls there are numerous mounds, during the black death so many people were dying in Lincoln that they were running out of space, so they started to bury boddies on top of each other causing the mounds to this day. However when they dug bodies up to add yet more boddies, they discovered that there were scratch marks on some of the coffins (which were very basic caskets), it turned out many were in a coma and not dead. They didnt understand about coma's then, but they sure knew that some had been burried alive, so they came up with the idea of channeling a thin knotted rope from the coffin to the surface with a bell attached so if anyone woke up, they could pull the rope and a bell would ring to alert people they were still alive. This is where the saying "a dead ringer" came from.
  • Thank you for visiting my beautiful hometown of Lincoln where I was born, I have a feeling that you and your kids will be coming back one day
  • I really like Lincoln with places like the New Theatre Royal, the Everyman and Odeon Cinemas, the High Street, the Drill Hall, St Marks etc

I love Scotland and England but you are right traveling there can be messy,to say the least. The stories I could tell you. But these things happen and the only thing we can control is our attitude towards it. I lived in England for a year and I drove in London once and those roundabout are no joke. It took me about an hour to get somewhere that was twenty minutes away. Another time I accidentally got on the motorway my friends who lived in England said oh no,I was like what’s the big deal I will get off at the next exit (little did I know it wasn’t like LA where I could get off in a quarter of a mile). But looking back now I was making memories and it makes me laugh and smile now.
