Drones are playing a key role in Ukraine's counter offensives against Russia's invasion. One is proving so effective that Ukrainian forces are singing its praises, literally. CNN's Jomana Karadsheh has the exclusive report.

  • Turkey went war with Russia 3 times in 5 years . In Syria, Libya and Azerbaijan i mean literally face to face while the west was rooting for Russia or even helping Russia against Turkey . Think about that .

For some reason we watched so many unjustified , manipulative propaganda in western media against Turkey in the last decade. Turkey certainly deserves our respect for supporting honourable Ukrainian people while making a massive effort for the peace. SLAVA UKRAINE !!!

As we always see in the history, Turkey is being praised by NATO during war time but when the war ends everyone becomes anti-turkish. Turks are really a warrior folk but West should now its worth everytime not only during war time.

What's critical here is that despite Turkey having close relations with Russia out of necessity with Russian forces in Syria and Libya in close proximity to Turkish forces, Turkey still sent sophisticated armed drones to Ukraine. That says a lot about Turkey's ability to traverse through diplomatic dilemmas. Not many countries on planet earth can do what Turkey has done. Hungary, for example, and many EU nations could do zilch. The best they could do is take Ukrainain refugees. Yet Turkey has 4 million Syrian refugees and now incoming Ukrainian refugees. Most NATO allies just paid lip service and offered symbolic support. Turkey sacrificed far more. To put things into context, lets not forget that Turkey shot down TWO Russian fighter jets in 2016 when they entered Turkish airspace. They then went into Syria to protect their borders while Russia was propping up the Assad dictator. A Syrian missile (probably a Russian one) bombed and killed scores of Turkish troops. Turkey sent in its drones and literally wiped out Assad's Russian military hardware in 48 hours and killed so many of Assad's troops (it's on Youtube). Russian forces could only back off. Elsewhere, Turkish forces then faced off Russian backed Haftar forces in Libya and prevented Libya from falling to Haftar, another Gaddafi. Turkey then bought S400 Russian air defences from Putin!! Now, it's hosting peace talks between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul. Turkey is clearly in a league of its own. The Bayraktar song highlights the resitence because it's the most deadly air asset the Ukrainians have, and it has a track record of changing many wars elsewhere. Meanwhile, the US Congress is still trying to vote on whether the US should send US drones to Ukraine. That tells me one thing - The US loves to rough up some feathers with tough words, but it's always one step behind. Respect to 🇹🇷 BAYRAKTAR!!!!

How noble this turkish weapon manufacturer. Instead of bragging, showing off their technology. They instead explained that no amount of reason to justify the innocent lives lost in this war and profiting is not worth it
  • 2015: turkey is the only nato country to shoot down a russian fighter jet... 2019: Turkey sold weapons to Libya, sent soldiers and traders, and liberated Tripoli from Russia's mercenaries. 2020: Turkey neutralized 3000 Russian-backed regime soldiers in Syria. 2020: Sold drones to azerbaijan... and waged a proxy war against russia... 2022: Turkish drones hunt Russian tanks in Ukraine... Maybe you understand the importance of Turkey a little bit??

I love Turkish drone delight, Turkish people, and Ukrainian resilience against the brutal Russian occupation.

Mr Bayraktar seems like a sensitive man. He's more concerned for Ukrainian children and civilians than he is about his technology, at least in this interview.
  • @ametos
It just blows my mind that same drone was being labelled as "killer drone" less than a year before and look at where we are now. I hope the West and it's Allies will start to look at things from Turkey's perspective too and regain their ability of empathy back. Greetings from 🇹🇷 to all those defending their home Слава Украïнi! 🇺🇦

We are talking about the same Turkiye which had been kicked out of F-35 program by the US (which indeed Turkey was the founding and engineering partner of the program) in the reason of purchasing S-400 (while Turkey asked for many times to purchase Patriot Anti Air System from the US but denied for no reason) and fighting against PKK terrorism ( which acknowledged is a terrorist orgnisation by UN, EU and US and which US is actively supporting its proxy in Northern Syria) and lost more than 40000 of its people and also getting a lot of embargos from its "fellow" NATO allies (in example Bayraktar couldn't use Canadian made camera system for some time and had to wait for Turkish made version to be ready ).
  • I congratulate the Turkish defense industry, which has managed to survive despite all the sanctions of Europe and America.
  • @lilhomies9715
As a italian new yorker i love Turkey and Turkish people
  • @desertaxe
As a Turkish I'm very happy to see this news. But as a human I'm so sad! 😥 Because, Turkey did the same support (provided Bayraktar TB-2) to Libya and to Azerbaijan who were fighting for their homelands, but that time nobody knew about that support, and mostly people blamed about Turkey due to give military support those countries. Even German and French warships illegally stopped Turkish transport ships to prevent military support! If illegal invasion kills Muslims or Turkish people, nobody reacts that much, but if the victims are Christians or other familiar nations, then we see all supports with them😥 its kind of racism!
  • @StudioBerlin1
Bayraktar is a strong Game Changer. Thanx for Turkey 🇹🇷. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
