Cars regularly finish a race with little wear left on their tyres regardless of how many stops they made. Its nonsense to suggest that would be a factor. Something really fishy went on here, its apathetic explanation. Why did Toto look so pissed off at George winning?

Part of me says just weigh the car at the end. And if it weighs more than the magic number, you're good. Another part of me knows the downside of Formula 1. Where they will take advantage of anything. They can so the fact that they measure liquids separately must be for A. Reason. George lost out on this one. And probably for good reason

Spa is a bit different, the cars don’t complete a lap after finishing they leave the track through a gate at La Source and drive the wrong way up the pit lane. Not much chance to pick up rubber.

When Mercedes initially finished one/two, with maximum points, Toto didn't look at all pleased. Really strange !

Russel was not disqualified. The car was! Verstappen did not get a ten place penalty. It was awarded to the car! They were just the ham in the sandwich.

I bet they turned up Russell's engine to help him defend against Lewis, and that is where the fuel went!

Why did they NOT do a cool down lap to ADD 1-2 kilos to each wheel from the marbles picked up on purpose just for this exact reason, add as much XTRA weight from the tyre discards to add a margin of safety during the after race weight-in!

Weighing the cars after the race doesn't make sense in F1. As far as I am concerned if the car meets the required safety standards, meets the weight requirement at the beginning of the race and nothing has been removed that should be all that matters. As usual F1 has regulated the fun out of watching them 'race'. I hate seeing the outcome of a race altered because of a technicality this trivial.
