From any given AF value, to have the decimal value, multiply the IP precedence *8 then, Drop Probabilty *2. Then Add both of them. ie AF43 = (4*8) + (3*2) = 32+6 = 38:)
  • You are an absolutely phenomenal teacher! I love the mix of metaphors, practical applications, and theory you use to teach a concept... the combo of all three really makes the concepts stick in the mind. Keep up the great work!
  • @ManisaXLV
Best explanation I’ve watched by now. Thanks Kevin.

Amazing video Kevin. When I was in my college cisco classes, we briefly skimmed over QoS, and I'll admit that it absolutely bored me out of my mind. This had my full attention throughout the entire video, and I can't believe how easy you made it with your explanations and examples. Thank you so much!
  • Wow, this topic is really large but you summarize it in just 2 hours!!!
  • @hcetc
Great explanation on QoS terminologies and what they actually do. I wish I had seen this video earlier. Thanks Kevin!
  • Finally a REAL qos guide/explanation , thank you for sharing with us ❤️
  • @binustephen549
your explanation is very clear and professional way, thank you very much
  • @micham96
Thanks for the video Kevin! you provide one of the best learningresources for collaboration
  • @aldrichuy983
Kevin, thanks. Now I know how to manage QoS. It is closely similar to CPU scheduling. Thank you so much. Now I can save the bandwidth of my client's network congestion.
  • @luciasmoore2705
Thanks Kevin, always educational and professional listening.
  • Fantastic video - really well explained with examples and at a good pace to follow along to. Coming into this with no knowledge of QoS - it has really helped to make me understand the concepts. Thank you!
  • @MrRaxye
As most people said, that was outstanding job, congratulations
  • @raviravi04
Thank you Kevin for the explanation with Examples.
  • In networking, the airport analogy is what I always use for anything. QoS, Security, Routing, even packet size! :)

You are my hero Kevin. Love your teaching skills hahaha
