8 years later, this would come to bite the Ports of Long Beach and LA in their cabooses. Now the trains are the bottle necks with large scale train robberies for Amazon booty. No day goes by without a major robbery of shipping container trains sitting along the tracks while waiting in one of the toughest LA hoods. The tracks are so full of garbage the track switchers can't operate properly and there is a derailment every couple of weeks.

Pretty incredible. I wonder how Far East trains go from the ports of LA/LB

Must be a lot of container sorting with ships unloading thousands of containers. per ship.

The longest train in the US was back in January 2010. 18,061 feet long, 9 engines and 294 rail cars.
