Grab your favourite book. Go to the acknowledgements, and the first name you see, find a book by an author with the same name.

Pick something on that cover and find another book with the thing in the title.

Go to page 50, line 5. Pick a word from that line and find a title with that word.

Find a 5-star read with the same colours on the cover.

Find a book you would recommend that is similar.

Take the most common letter seen in the title and find an author whose name starts with that letter.

Find a book with the same number of pages. (hint hint, goodreads is your friend)

Flip open to any page. The first name you see, find a book by an author with who shares that name.

Find another title with the same number of letters.

The ‘I need to dust my bookshelf’ horror was far too relatable

I love how she shaked the last prompt in the jar, on its own.... Iconic 😂❤

"what do you mean IN the title?!" as if you didn't write the prompts yourself hahaha. That made me laugh so hard.

You should totally do this monthly! It’s a fun wild card.
  • The absolute chaos of this video makes me feel better about my own journeys 😂😂
  • As per usual with these, I did a looooot of just squeaking by haha. I started with Fangirl and found the dedication was to Jennifer, so I grabbed To All The Boy I've Loved Before by Jenny Han, found Boys Don't Knit which was published in the same year, the blurb thing was. Simply too hard BUT one of the 2 blurbs on Boys Don't Knit is from the School Library Journal, so I grabbed the School for Good and Evil 2 simply because they both have School in the title. The random word I pointed at was eight, so I grabbed Library Wars vol 8, which according to Goodreads has 200 pages. Also according to good reads Nancy Drew: The Mystery at the Lilac Inn has 200 pages. With E as my most common letter I found I Remember Nothing by Nora Ephron, which is more or less the same color as The Fault in Our Stars (a five star). A book I'd recommend that's similar is Halfway Normal, which is a middle grade about a girl in remission. 13 letters in Halfway Normal and 13 letters in Sea of Monsters (ignore the fact that its supposed to be THE sea of monsters, it was hard). The fifth line had a bunch of words I couldn't find but luckily the word "we" brought me to We are the Wildcats. Which has the same colors as Escape From the Isle of the Lost which unfortunately only has like a piece of coal or rock on fire on the cover. I really squeezed that one and ended up with the book I will be reading next aaaaas - Walt Disney's Annette and the Mystery at MoonSTONE Bay. Except not really because that's the 2nd book in the series so first I have to read Annette Sierra Summer. The only good news here is that Annette being in the title also fulfills my buzzwordathon prompt for March. I will literally play along every time you post one of these videos <3 I adore them

  • Ok this is so funny. I haven’t even watched this yet but I had to tell you this. Earlier today I was watching your scavenger hunt video from last year and followed along and ended up with Leave The World Behind for my next read. I just think it’s so neat that you’re posting a new one on the same day. Love it! Starting LTWB tomorrow ❤️
  • my whole mood is Kayla walking from one room to another a couple of times and saying "I'm getting my steps in" ;)
  • I can’t believe I’m watching this the day it comes out. Being a teacher I never have time to be on my phone so Kayla you blessed me with an amazing night!! ❤️❤️❤️

"What do you mean 'in the title'?!" Girl you wrote these! 😂 I love these videos SO MUCH. They are way too fun to watch. Thank you for doing them every year!

This was so much fun! I followed the prompts and started with my favorite 2023 - The Measure by Nikki Erlick and ended up with the final word of "Door" so I could either pick Lock Every Door by Riley Sager or 10,000 Doors of January by Alix E Harrow 🤔 Now to decide what mood I'm in but both of these are great backlist titles I've been meaning to get to.
