Probably the best advice video around. Wish I had seen it 3 years ago. Your beards looking great. I agree beard butter is a game changer. Only other thing I would add to this list is don’t compare your beard to others

Dan, A lot of great tips. Really enjoyed this video. I want to mention a carrier oil that I use every day and is a game changer that is Coconut oil🥥! It adds moisture and makes your beard and skin super soft. I use both fractionated and regular forms. I find it absorbs very well into the beard and the skin. I apply fractionated coconut oil first before applying my regular beard oil. It helps to distribute even the most heaviest of oils. I will even add it to a damp beard during the day if it feels “crispy” , really rejuvenates the beard. I also use the regular coconut oil as a “beard butter” at bed time. It absorbs fast is not greasy. When it comes to combs and brushes the Chicago Comb Company - carbon fiber comb #8 is by far the best comb in the beard game also the “Wet-brush” is an all around good beard brush. If you’re interested in some very cool mustache tools “Savvyjack”is your guy . Hope this will help add to your beard journey.

You give the best beard tips! Any time I've been to a barber my beard looked really thin and see through. They always take too much of the side beard and the neckbeard away. I am abysmal at beard trimming but I am trying to improve. My tip for going to the barber is to explain to them what to do for every part of your beard. Start by saying you don't like a super slick and sharp style, but prefer a natural look. Tell them to not do anything under the beard. Just tell them you want to take a cm or whatever you want off, and show with your fingers how much. Tell them that less is more.
  • I am happily rocking my almost yeard....next step will be a biyeard!!Thanks for the tips!!!!!👍

I would say and Got this one from Dan C too and it helps so much cause I work with food and wear a beard net. Get a spray bottle of water and mist your beard before combing through and I do it again at night before adding beard butter 🔥 Your beard looks amazing bro. Cheers.

I use a scentless beard oil from dr k soap company (they are Irish but you can find it world wide, at least, you can where I live). I prefer scentless because there are less ingredients added to it and scented products never worked for the skin under my beard well as I have sensitive skin.

I am trying to grow my beard past the 4 month mark. i have bald spots each time i have tried to grown one. they do fill in after the 2.5 month mark. I feel like the most challenging part is not genetics, because in spite of bald spots, my beard does get fully covered. the most challenging things are: 1) the transition from a cleanshaven face into a completely different one where you look completely different at the end of the 4th month. 2) The density of the beard and feeling of having extra weight on you face with all the itchinessmostly because of lack of good beard products and very hot climate. With that being said, thanks for you video and content.

I agree wuth absolutely everything, however i dont get along with Bulldogs beard products, super drying for me. I use Opies beard soap bar, but once The Bald Viking release their soap ill be switching over to them, keep up the videos mate 💪

Been following you ages brother. See you also mentioned Dan c, he another leg. You both have inspired and given me so much advice on product and tools. Currently i am mixing my own oils. At the moment i am combining emu oil, coconut oil, jojoba and argon and it works a treat, also i always begin with detangler brush then work down from an extra wide tooth comb down to a chicargo comb pick 😀. At the moment i would say i have a full 8 inch beards and like what you said i never trim the side. My biggest worry is no matter what I lose between 20 to 30 hairs each day whilst grooming 😅. Take care man 🙏🏼 and keep up the good work.

I can't use beard oil. Not even unscented stuff. It makes me break out in pimples ☹️
