The final pair of Gucci loafers that you loved to wear in Sydney all the time but have not reached for in Paris may be an emotional response. Those shoes you loved and reached for all the time in Sydney represents a different life. Now that you are in Paris, you are living another life so to speak. Sometimes we have emotional responses to clothing, (I know I do) and unconsciously makes shifts in our clothing choices because of something the item represents, that in some way doesn't fit our identity currently. Just a few thoughts.
  • I own versions of all that you have except the stiletto scrappy sandals; I no longer need to wear such shoes. I am 73 and ballet flats have been a staple in my wardrobe for decades (I worked in high fashion and dress in a very classic style). I love metallic driving moccasins; they are so comfortable and go with everything. Thank you for sharing!

A New Video from Lauren is the best way to start my morning🌄💗✨ and your videos are always always best🥹
  • Ha Ha you did make me laugh at the end when you almost leapt out of the screen saying 'I love shoes'. You have a good selection which has made me think I need to do a similar exercise and cull as i go along., love your Gucci beige mules, things do go in and out of our rotations so I'm sure you will enjoy them again. You look much happier and focused today which I am glad to see. would love to see more of your life your home and wardrobe maybe in the future. keep smiling, you are a lovely person x
  • Such a great video Lauren 😊I am a shoe lover like you! Your video has made me think about my most worn shoes and there is definitely a trend. I also walk and take public transportation to work. I’m most comfortable in sneakers as I like to walk briskly. I have an extensive collection of Nike, Adidas, Hoka and Sézane sneakers. Then my loafers are my next most worn shoes followed by low pumps for work. As I have become older, comfort is key in my shoes with a definite touch of classic elegance. Sling backs and ballerinas in the Chanel style are perfect for a polished work look.

I have just discovered you - you appeared on my "new to you"link! I have just done my shoe stock take, thanks to you. I too need to repair my long boots, same heel has worn down, obviously the way we walk! Having watched your video, I now realise that I am only happy in my flat shoes or block heels. I am donating five pairs to the charity shop. Three pairs with wedge heels never worn, too high. Two pairs of stiletto's - again not worn, what was I thinking?! I have subscribed - now binge watching your other videos. Keep up the great work.

I am an American living in the south of France and the types of shoes you mention are also the same that I wear here. I would add that here I have great espadrilles that are super comfy and dressy enough for the SOF anyway. Especially a pair I bought at Vivaia. Highly recommend.

Thanks for sharing and asking! My Les Tropeziennes, style Hicelot (gladiator) serves me well on sidewalks and cobblestones. Also, in several colors: Isle Jacobsen's Tulip. For dressier yet walkable/danceable— thierry rabotin: Wedge with bow, Grace, & Ziggy.
  • @MakesPaintings
That's a collection to aim for! I love my block heel Mary-Janes too.
  • Wow, what a fantastic video! And those tall Chanel boots are 👌🏻🤩
  • So great, that You found Your favourite shoes and boots. Some are more practically, others more beautiful. Maybe Nr. 15 (Loafers) could get back to Australia, and wait for You, whenever You should come. Maybe You only love them there. If not wearing the flat sandals instead. And yes, the distances in Paris are best to master with comfortable shoes, like the sneakers. While the high boots look amazing and great for the winter. So great, that You feel good with them as well. Thank You for sharing; have a wonderful new week 😍👞👟🥿👠🩰❤
  • I have a suggestion! Since you mentioned that you might want to purchase another pair of ballet flats, maybe you could go into the Repetto store and show us around while you try on their ballet flats, which I have heard are very comfortable - and very French.
  • @debwlv
❤very helpful video! I am a new subscriber, watching from the Los Angeles area, scheduled to visit Paris for my first time in September so this was a very helpful, entertaining video—- thank you!

My shoe choices have definitely changed since I've acquired foot problems. I never wear my Chanel ballet flats or my Ferragamo ballet flats as they don't offer enough support. Your collection is lovely and very chic. Paula x
  • I love your beautiful white Chanel mules. Wear them, girl. Shoes are meant to be worn. Just wear and enjoy them. Life it too short. ❤️❤️❤️
  • @pingxu4576
You have a stylish, beautiful and practical collection of shoes. ❤
  • I adore those Ferragamos! And they look so cute on you and the patent leather is lovely. Funny how we don’t reach for something a little out of our comfort zone

I think in my shoe “collection” both my sketchers are most worn and also most useful comfortable for the streets. Variety of shoes with different occasions is good to spread out what the best wear fit and style depending on the occasion. Anyways hope your doing well and stay hydrated because I am in our first heat wave
