Most people who say weather is not a good enough reason to live someplace, have never lived in the amazing climate of Southern Cali.
  • @marieneu264
Some people aren’t impacted by weather, but I definitely am! Good weather just makes you feel more productive and more energized.
  • @F4fantasticfrank
I'm in San Diego and the weather here is EXACTLY why I will never leave 😂 it makes me so much more productive and active
  • @a_2502
The weather is truly the best coming from someone who lived in TN. I was low key depressed with the very dark, dreary weather and my family home didn't get good lighting. Walking outside everyday in the sun and palm trees gives me a boost of serotonin everyday!!!
  • After you live in California where you have literally EVERYTHING at your disposal, it’s extremely difficult to live anywhere else.
  • @meganasekar4002
This is so relatable as someone who just moved back to California after 2 years in NYC!
  • @eringunning3128
Loved this video. I was born and raised in California and left for 8 years and just moved back! You can’t beat the quality of life being close to family and friends. Plus the weather 😊

I have in-laws who moved from L.A. to Austin, Texas to avoid state income taxes and liberal politics. They came back within 2 years just as I predicted.

California is the world's 5th largest economy (if it were its own country), so there must be something it's doing right. Anyway, California is expensive no doubt, but it has so much more to offer. You are literally hours away from world-class destinations: Yosemite/Sequoia/Joshua Tree National Parks, Lake Tahoe, Monterrey, Big Sur, Napa Valley, Carmel-By-The-Sea, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, Solvang, Catalina Island, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, etc. You can live any type of lifestyle your heart desires..from beach life to city life, desert life or even mountain/country life. The Central Valley provides so much of America's produce, so you always get fruits and vegetables fresh! California also values innovation, it still attracts the most venture capital for start-ups in the nation. You have some of the best food in the country, due to its diverse ethnic cuisines. There's always something for everyone, from museums to theme parks, concerts to music festivals, comedy clubs to karaoke bars. California has pinetree forests and rugged mountains in Northern California, beautiful sandy beaches and serene desert landscapes in Southern California. The most powerful, populous, and progressive state in the union...it will always be the land of dreamers!

Amazing video as usual, Shelby! Bottom line is, you (like everyone else) are allowed to change your mind. At the time you left LA, you thought that was the best decision. Now, you think that moving back to LA is the best decision. Both decisions are simultaneously right 👍Sending you love and well-wishes for this new chapter

Hi! Welcome back! I moved to Santa Monica years ago and never looked back. I love Cali! And 10 million people in LA don’t seem to be leaving either!
  • @adriennehilll
Shelby I’ve been following you for forever (since the high school diving and gym days) and I’m so happy to see you thriving!!! I can tell how happy you are to be back in California 💛💛 enjoy the new chapter!

I’m about to graduate by the end of this year and I’ve been wanting to move to LA since I was in high school. I went in 2019 and loved it and went back in May of this year and I still love it. It’s the only place I’ve ever been to that I feel at home. I plan to move as soon as I graduate. It’s nice to know many others are moving to or back to California
  • @neptunemike
I can’t imagine leaving this place, almost the same reasons as you. Welcome back! 😊
  • @ryanmcbay
Weather, Activities, Healthy lifestyle, Family. All excellent reasons and spot on. Good video. I was born in Redondo, our weather and outdoor activities still take priority over the politics and other issues.

I love it here in California. I moved here from Texas years ago & kick myself why we didn't move sooner. Yes, taxes are higher and the cost of living is higher than most areas, but there's a reason why it's higher...location location location. I kid to friends outside of California and call it the "membership fee." The most desirable areas in the world are the most expensive. The California vibe, beach, mountains, desserts, and of course, weather make it an extremely desirable place to live. So much to do in the city or you can lose yourself in another part of California deep in nature. This is why I pay that "membership fee" to live here. You couldn't pay me millions to be anywhere else. Welcome back!

I hope living in California gives you peace. Excited for your new blogs! The past blogs have been great but def have focused on the indecision of where to live and now that that’s settled I’m excited for us to get some new content! ❤️
  • i love this. i can't wait for LA contents from Shelby. Starting from the socio economic in housing to fun and informative contents is just a beginning from her. I simply can't wait. What do you guys want from her LA videos?
  • I just visited LA, and I was really worried bc the city get so much bad press. It was a dream come true! City life, nature, culture, the views, mountains, the beach, the theme parks... everything you would want in a single city! The only bad things that I've noticed is that everything is SO FAR and expensive, but it is 200% worth it!

I'm from California, but live in Atlanta, so far so good for me. However, I do personally know alot of people whom moved to Atlanta, Miami and Orlando and are moving back to California. Yes, downsouth is less regulation, cheaper housing and services, but sometimes that also means lesser pay, worse weather and less diversity.
