As a Mexican living currently abroad, and after living in four countries, I can assure that Mexico City (my hometown) is one of the most fascinating cities all over the world

As a Mexican I apologize for your bad experience in the past and admire you for giving it a 2nd chance, keep in mind that can and will happen anywhere in the world, great video!!! ❤👍👍👍💪

Mexican food is Definitely one of the Best in The World 🌮🇲🇽
  • I’ve been to a few mega cities around the world and by far Mexico City has to be the best one. The food, people, architecture and climate is something you can beat. Cheers!

I LOVED THIS VIDEO! A Brit here, I went to Mexico City a couple of months ago and have been obsessing about it ever since. I need to go back! 5 days just wasn't enough. So much to see and do. Thanks for the inspo on what else I still need to do in the city whenever I'm lucky enough to return.
  • Moving back to Mexico City after being away for two years. I'm a permanent resident and now going back to stay. I fly tomorrow!
  • Thanks for showing us around Mexico City in this, should we say, very well timed vlog. Always love watching Lisa’s excitement for new places and great food!! Keep em coming

have been living in Mexico City for over 2 years and I would say it´s one of the best cities I have been to. Since I visited for the first time I fell in love with this massive city and I definitely stayed here, and I don't know until when I'll go back, it is definitely a beautiful city, immense and with very nice people, its desfortunatelly of the bad experience but I would say now is a very safe city

Mexico, a country full of culture and traditions, I loved your video and I hope to return to that beautiful country soon, best regards from Australia.:face-red-heart-shape:

Not to say CDMX is the safest city in Mexico, but overall crimes have significantly dropped since 2019 - 60% less now. 2017-2019 were some really dark times for the city in terms of rising crime, so it is a great relief knowing they have declined and the city is safer now.

I'm so sorry about your horrible earlier experience. When I was a teen, and traveled with my parents to Mexico for the first time, they emphasized not dressing like a tourist. No tennis shoes, no sweatshirts, one pair of jeans, maybe one t-shirt. It has worked so far. I've traveled many places alone and haven't had any problems. Too bad you didn't enter la Casa de Azulejos, the National Palace on the Zocalo, the Basilica, or Ideal Bakery. Next time. Chapultepec has a long history. It was originally the Aztec emperor's summer home, later Ferdinand and Carlota built the castle. It was invaded by the U.S. (memorialized in the Battle Hymn of the Republic). The large monument with the tall columns at the base is in honor of the boy heroes, military cadets, who defended the castle against the U.S.

My husband is Mexican and I am Puertoriccan, we have not yet visited each others countries, so this year it’s one of our bulletpoints on our to do list. His dad died when he was baby and he is buried in a cemetery in CDM. It’s one of his dreams to go ( he hasn’t been since he was 5) and be on the only presence of his father since he had memory. This is definitely a list of places to go following this once we have the opportunity. Thank you so much, I love your videos. It makes it easy for folk like us that don’t have a lot of money to see what we can expect when we are able to afford a nice getaway. ❤

Gringos like you are very welcome in CDMX, come back anytime my friends 🇺🇸🇲🇽

Yay, you are traveling again AND the parents came! Great video. Loved it all. Everything looked beautiful and fun!! Saw sites that I will never see in person. Thank you.

I have been to CDMX three times in the last year and CANNOT WAIT to go back! I love Mexico City...! I love Roma Norte and the Historic District. I hire a driver (Esteban Barrera) when I go. He is AMAZING! He is not only a driver, but will be your translator and will recommend different restaurants / sites / schedules / museums. If you travel one city over to Puebla, he is from Puebla and can show you all the best of everything! I cannot wait to get back there again. I literally feel at peace in CDMX (and specifically at the Basilica of Guadalupe). I could sit there for hours (and literally have sat there for hours) soaking up the ambiance of the place and of course - the tilma!
  • @rhondalyn100
That was FUN, guys! I always love the food commentary (makes my mouth water) and I especially enjoyed your music soundtrack to the video! Loved it....🙂
