If you don't have a solution, don't become part of the problem by making it worse.
  • HOUSING is the issue; NOT crime. POVERTY is the issue; NOT crime. RESOURCES are what they NEED ;not PUNISHMENT!?
  • Let’s charge a bunch of homeless people who don’t have money to begin with yes makes perfect sense

IT'S VERY NICE OF YOU TO OFFER TO LET THEM MOVE INTO YOUR YARD. I'M SURE THEY WILL APPRECIATE IT.
  • Wonder if the King Counts Sheriff will not enforce Washington’s anti 2a laws.

I’m led to believe people have refused to comply with the shelters rules on substance abuse

There are vacancies at a shelter 609 N. Orchard St, Tacoma, WA. They can house 40 households. To get there is a 2-hour bus ride from the Riverton Park Untd Methodist Church. Take bus 128 to Andover Park and Baker. F-line to Tukwilla Station. S-line to Tacoma Dome. Bus 1 to 6th and Orchard. Should cost about $5.00 into the fare box or FREE through DSHS. From Burien Target, take H-line toward Seattle to 3rd & Pine. Bus 594 toward Tacoma to 10th and Commerce. Route 1 toward TCC to 6th and Orchard. Costs NOTHING because if you're a refugee, you qualify for FREE. Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) at DSHS. That's right, refugees get 1 year of free unlimited bus and express bus riding in King County, Metro, Sound Transit "Subsidized Annual Pass" program at DSHS for people on RCA Refugee Cash Assistance.

I’m sure there’s other issues such as anger and violence but how’s it any better living in squalor on the side of the road

Ithan make it so that us money is spent for us citizens not for an apartheid regime or any undemocrati. Shthole counrty.... spend us money and take care of us citizens

King County is the number one county in the state for refugees and immigrants. The investigative reporting could be better. Include stats from DSHS's Office of Refugee and Immigrant Assistance (there is no office for assistance for working poor Americans without dependents, but refugees get resettlement pay from WA). Last year only 28 Venezuelans applied to DSHS for assistance, that seems low.

Cities have the right…and responsibility…to prevent homeless camps from springing up wherever the homeless decide to put up an encampment that may include mounds of refuse, disease, drugs, and criminals to protect the citizens who live in he area.

Where they go is nobody's business but theirs. Enforce the laws or don't make them. The stretch of freeway at Sleater Kinney is beautiful. Why? Because the law is now being enforced. They will go just as they came but enabling them to stay is not an option anymore. ENFORCE THE LAW JAY
