#HESHOULDSTILLBEHERE BREAKING THE GENERATIONAL CURSE: SUBSTANCE ABUSE & ILLNESS PART 2 #LETTERSTV

Published 2021-03-23
This special episode is dedicated to my baby brother, Ian who we lost in November to an accidental overdose. The purpose of this episode is to bring awareness to the opioid epidemic so that no one else experiences this pain of suffering from the addiction or the grief of losing someone to the battle, to encourage the kids to seek therapy or talk to someone you trust when experiencing depression/anxiety versus self medicating and to start the conversations necessary to break the generational curse of substance abuse that many see in their families.

A very special shout out to:

We absolutely have to break the generational curse of Silence! Too often, we deny ourselves access to resources for fear of stigma. Thank you for engaging in this work, Amber. AND...thank you to all who shared❤

  • I truly loved how authentic and vulnerable the speakers were on this episode. It shows the impact that substances can have on people’s lives. I pray that this episode saves someone’s life.
