That’s why I understand when Giddy asked for a trade and Paul George wants the Max. Never give a billionaire a discount. Thats just crazy.

This is why I won't feel sad if Hartenstein decides to go elsewhere and get his bag, he has worked hard and has been under the radar for a long time.

Know your worth and know your values. Never let a boss determine either. Sacrifices are for family.

As a huge Warriors fan this is incredibly eye opening to me, but everything he’s saying makes great sense! Final MVP off the bench but we can’t pay you like a starter! So I’m torn with this because I, like many Warriors fans I’m sure, am so grateful he made this sacrifice for our team, but I never fully realized the stress and aggravation he felt from his perspective
  • After seeing how the league treated Melo late in his career, I understand why he took the monster contract in New York over the “more team friendly” offer from Chicago. It can be about the money for owners, coaches, and shareholders but not players 🤦🏾‍♂️

Demarcus cousins made this mistake when he signed for the warriors at 5 mil only. Even though he was coming back from an injury, he should’ve signed else where for more money.

An athletes career is about 8-12 years max, lucky if you can get to 15. Get all the money you can, championship and accolades are for public to debate. Money is alwayssss the priority in a job!

I feel conflicted about this. It seems like sometimes when guys sacrifice for years and stay with a team (Pippen, Zeke, Iggy, etc) it can lead to the team winning if the front office builds a championship caliber team. But the players don't get what they're worth and are often an injury away from being discarded by the team. The loyalty doesn't seem worth it for most

Do what’s best for you. If you win a ring, great. The team doesn’t care about you. As soon as it even looks like you’re slowing down they will jettison you. Fans try to frame it as selfish, but 99.9% of them will never have to make decisions regarding millions of dollars. All you hear today is how it is good for the employee to be mobile. “Look for the better position” no matter if it means changing companies or even professions. The days of the 20-30 year company man are over. In everyday life and certainly in sports.
  • That was AMAZING!!! Such an eye opening conversation!!! Never expect Melo to be so well spoken.

Just came across this channel. Very enlightening takes on it . Actually learning a lot about what goes on behind the scenes

Andre Iguodala played 19 years made $185,219,886. Carmelo Anthony played 19 years made $262,523,093. Plus Iguodala got 4 rings and Carmelo will most likely be HOFer. They did just fine. No one should feel bad for them. Even Evan Turner made $94,935,765 over 9 years. He did just fine too.

As a musician, I can relate how this concept of undervaluing myself has diminished my career.
  • Correct me if I’m wrong but …WEREN’T THESE GUYS CLEARLY NOT WHO THEY ONCE WERE WHEN THIS HAPPENED TO THEM???
  • Carmelo questions seems like he asking himself questions because that’s what we needed
