I used the most actual cars that people use for leagues and racing. What do you think of my list? :_jarDrive::_jarLove2:
  • As a rookie I can say that learning to drive the Porsche helped me. Pedal input skills are important to learn and the Porsche forces you to learn.
  • @SnoodyMcFlude
Lambo is definitely a bit off the pace, but I think it's actually pretty good as a rookie car because of how driveable it is. For so many rookies the problem isn't lap time, it's consistency, and I think Lambo is pretty easy to drive for a finish.

A series I would like to see is setup guides, I’m a complete novice where sim racing is concerned and also don’t know anything about cars (great combination haha) so I’m always on the lookout for what settings to adjust and what effects they have on the car both good and bad I’m not looking for anything too in-depth as I know this would be very time consuming, but basic info as to how say adjusting the wing for instance will have an effect on car performance I say this like it’s an easy topic, which I’m sure it’s not, but it’s one I’m interested in trying to learn, I know a lot of things are trial and error, but I think a basic knowledge on the effects of adjustment would help people like me gain a better knowledge and understanding of where to start 😁

Great video, Jardier. Video idea: most common 'bad driving habits' that make you slower in ACC.

I just got into the game and you dropped this, thanks for bringing content to people who just started playing the game 💪

Hello jardier, loving your content. I started playing after the free weekend on Steam and picked the honda as my first car because being honest looks and sounds sick, and this 3:46 was a super accurate representation of me during the first hours with the car lol. It was driving me nuts how the car wants to kill you in the corner exits, but after some set up tweaking and practice It gets much better and the car is super fun
  • The Lambo is a good car to drive when you master it. But at tracks like Brands Hatch or Hungaroring where dirty air is hard to get out of it's a problem, even worse when you're stuck behind someone. It's dreadful in the wet too.
  • @RiddleTime
Really liking this kind of content! Especially with all the examples you record with it, Nice Job!
  • @jorgedr5835
3:43 the dog standing up to see if you are okay because of the Honda is just priceless and TOO CUTE lol
  • @DookeyDuke
I agree on the Porsche. There is very large risks for small rewards for a good lap time when you are not fully comfortable with the car. I put about 60hrs into the Porsche and today im going to make the switch to the Aston V8 and see if i have better luck getting closer to race pace without working up a damn sweat driving the Porsche
  • The Porsche can be set up in such a way that it handles quite similarly to other cars. It's mostly down to setting the rear extemely soft to maximize exit grip, running very high rebound and very low bump damping, fairly low bumpstop ranges, and playing with the preload, aero, and other values to make the car feel the way you want it (and doing the setup with very low fuel so you don't lose control once it burns off and shifts the balance toward oversteer). Although this is all probably beyond the understanding of a true beginner. Being able to smoothly left-foot brake and transition from brake to throttle helps a ton, too.
  • @stuntmania3000
The lambo won me my only league races I ever won after switching from a Mclaren. The top guys were mega fast and I didn’t realise how much a car change would make a difference.
  • @nyataliie
I understand that this is more focused on the more modern and competitive cars, but I'll give a honourable mention to the 650s and V12 Vantage for being extremely hard to set up for any pace whilst being BoP'd to hell and back on most tracks too. For me, being able to have such a mixed field of older and newer cars (even if the newer ones are more popular for their safety) is one of my loves in GT3 racing, and I'm sure I and some others have been cruelly tempted to take the very pretty but very slow older cars to competitive events only to be struggling at the back.
  • @Burl_Hurlbutt
Loved the Honda before its rework, love it after, but my god the thing still feels terrifying sometimes. That combined with the fact that it has pretty bad brakes, I'd agree it'd be rough for a beginner.
  • @cheeseboigatm
I definitely agree on the Porsche though. I have been driving this car since i've started playing ACC a year ago, the first months were horrible on ACC, it takes a lot of time to master this car and what you said about setting the car up very aggressive to drive a good lap is exactly right. However if you learn to master this car (although it takes a lot of time) it is very very satisfying if you actually win races and set very good lap times, i love the aggressiveness of this car, its just something the other cars don't have in ACC in my opinion and that's what i absolutely love about the Porsche. It drives a bit like an old school car.
  • I took the Honda for my first rookie league. And i am still in love with it. For some tracks, i need some time to make a stable setup, but if i feel so connected to the car. It might be hard to catch if you loose it. So find a pace, so you dont loose the car. I was somewhere in the midfield 16th of 32 in the end, but i was awarded to bei the most consistent driver of all. And thats the most important thing to learn as beginner. Making a few great laps is great, but it wont get you far If you end in the wall after all.
  • @JHooley100
Nice video :D Best cars in the rain would be good! Or best/worst gt4s!
  • @stubby8663
I absolutely love this video Jardier, very nicely done mate. I will have to come back to this and the other one to refresh myself once I can start driving again. Haven't driven but a hand full of laps since all the updates so I'll be a complete noob again and will need the insight, Thank you
  • Porsche is a lovely car on Spa, back never steps out, balance stays perfect throughout the stint. Makes me want to wake up at 3am to drive.
