I'm in the category of folks that if I went to the ER for that, they would ponder a Toradol shot maybe , maybe is the key word, and send me on down the road. It's a real tight ship here where I am at. And the big C bug we had in the last few years REALLY jacked the system up. Things that used to be treatable at the ER are no longer. Sad times, man. I appreciate the shout-out as always. Hope all is as well as can be your way. Here, I am still nerve pain-free, but mechanical pain is taking a bad toll on me. One day at a rime for.us man. That's about all we can do my friend! Take care and I'll catch you soon Im sure.

Prayers brother 🙏🏼 Been following you for a while. I’m getting my SCS (trial) this upcoming Tuesday. Your channel has been a big help for me. As far as your question, I think it depends on your insurance. I can only assume certain types of insurances may not cover it on an ER visit? The type of insurance I have is through the state, which is Medicaid I believe. It’ll cover these things if I ever decided to go to the ER. I’m in Ohio btw. If you’re not on Medicaid, approvals may vary. I’d also hate to get the bill if you weren’t. But I’ve been to the ER several times over the years for herniated/slipped discs & ct scans/x-rays were always taken during my visits. Usually ct scans &/x-rays aren’t suffice enough & end up needing a MRI. But if the ct scans/x-rays show enough cause, it may help speed up the MRI approval. I usually have to endure physical therapy 1st in order for my insurance to approve a MRI, and that takes weeks or at least 6-8 PT visits. But if you’re on Medicaid, God Bless America & take full benefits of it Brother! If we don’t, immigrants & resident aliens not from this country will do so in our turn. Before our disabilities we paid taxes for Medicaid as Americans, so use it up bro!

Prayers for you. Yes that is the best to do. Only way doc can see it before it fixes itself. I just got out of hospital yesterday. 14 days in. Like to pm you about both fusion and scs. Didn’t go smooth. Have op check on March 28th. May be turned on. Dave.

In my area if I went to the ER just for CT and xray ,they probably wouldn't do it but refer me to my surgeon

After 3 lumbar fusions, they implanted a spinal cord stimulator about 8 months ago . About 2 months after the implant the pocket wasn't deep enough so the device was bulging outward looking bad and very painful. I went in for a revision, cut me open again, made the pocket bigger then closed the incision. Now the leads migrated to the right not midline. So it malfunctions on twisting, bending or extending. They are unable to get coverage to the left side of lumbar area. Now I have appointment with the surgeon to talk about either removing the device or go in for a third time to correct the lead . I'm just about done with the stimulator I haven't had a luck with it
  • hey i have a question when your trial was over did they pull your leads out before they put in perm leads? and how much time in between each procedure
