Iaido Seitei forms: Ippon-me Mae
Forestalling a frontal attack.

I am still a beginner in Iaido , so although this video shows the basic form well enough for anyone who wishes to learn it, I really wish to invite citism of my performance from other Iaidoka and advise any other beginners that there are much higher level examples available on the internet than mine to strive to emulate.

It's obvious you are new to iaido. The biggest thing that I'm seeing is it looks like the kojiri of your saya is almost touching the floor. This indicates that either your uniform isn't tied right, or you are not sitting in seiza properly. Other than that you have the basic elements of the kata. Just alot of repetition and practice to get better. Along with the watchful eye of your sensei.

0:07 Wait... Why are you turning the saya so early? You haven't even begun to draw. The tsukagashira is supposed to be drawn up the centerline in the direction of the face and pressuring the opponent. The rotation starts when the blade is roughly 2/3 of the way out and the angle of the cut only really shows itself near the end with a strong sayabiki so as to not telegraph the angle of cut.
