I've been a Windows user since version 3. I have 2 old devices that use Windows 10 that will not update to 11. So two weeks ago I went with what you list as option 3 and yes I chose Linux Mint. I'm very happy and will never go back to Windows again.

I am sure there will be ESU or similar option so that we can carry on using Windows 10 on our good old laptops that are not supported on Windows 11.

good, same situation as my Win7 desktops, just keep them off the web and using something else for the web goodness no, no one should be using McAfee, Norton or Kaspersky

Interestingly the hospital I work at is still putting new Windows 7 machines into production and had to reimage quite a few machines after they were taken down by CrowdStrike.

let's hope that other companies don't leave windows 10 users hanging, just like they did for previous operating systems.
