[BUGSNAX] (MASSIVE SPOILERS!) All Grumpus Bad End Lines

Heads up; the "Unable to resist" lines happen during the fight itself. In order to get a character to die, they need to eat Bugsnax, which can only occur if their side-quest was not completed. Those lines are what they can say as they're eating Bugsnax during that last segment. They have lost control. It's not a talk segment, it's just a thing that can occur, which is why it's before the actual, final lines themselves.

all of these hurt, but snorpys destroyed me. the way he he accepts his death because he thinks he knows too much and wants to protect chandlo is just.. pure pain for me. maybe i have a bias for snorpy but his were a tearjerker

Grambles incredibly dark, he had hardly anyone else the whole time he was on snaktooth aside from his little ones, and when they caused his end he accepted it, hell even embraced it!. he loved his kin so much he saw that death as becoming truly part of his family. Together *forever*

God, ALL of these lines are heartbreaking!!! They range from delusional joy to depressed acceptance!

I love how all the unable to resist lines are like “I want to eat the Bugsnax” and triffany’s is just “no sense in delaying the inevitable”

Cromdo's death gives me the most chills. Not only is he one of my favorites, but the way he's so insanely ecstatic about the bugsnax just breaks me This man worked his whole life just trying to achieve one simple dream, using any tactic he can, whether they were legal or not. The worst, most heart-wrenching part for me is that it's so convincing that he would voluntarily succumb to the snax, if they gave him his fortune he worked so hard for

Every single character manages to overcome their insecurities during the side quests, which is why they fight back during the final segment, they don't have to rely on bugsnax to be happy anymore, and every death quote has them mention the insecurities, like how chandlo says he isn't strong enough, or how wambus says he's a failure. Then snorpy is there, talking about the grumpinati, clearly he is the only non insecure character.

ugh, so glad I'm a completionist and did all the sidequests on my first playthrough. Listening to these is so sad, I'm glad I didn't lose anyone.

Well, as Lizbert said, if you show weakness, the Bugsnax will exploit it

great to hear the performances clearly! they're all great as usual, the one i feel the most bad for is gramble, all caught up in his abandonment and loneliness that he'd willingly lose himself. (cromdo has the energy of a disney villain losing his grip at the last second lol)

Gramble's death line fucking wrecks me every single time

The Grumpuses Insecurities: Chandlo: Never being strong enough to protect Snorpy Snorpy: Knowing he can't outsmart the Grumpinatii Shelda: Succumbing to Bugsnax will catch her eventually Floofty: Knowing they have to rely on Bugsnax to succeed Beffica: Her detieriorating social life Cromdo: His faliure as a buisnessman Wiggle: Her fame fading away Gramble: The fear that his pets eventually have to be sacrificed for survival, or possibly his insecurity is abandonment, as I see it implied. Wambus: Not being able to sustain others Triffany: Her knowing the end will always come, no matter what.

"No sense delaying the inevitable" is actually the saddest one for me. Triffany is a well known nihilist, many people don't mention that since it goes against the stereotype of "asshole depressed nihilist" that people think is the default of such phylosophy on life. But even then, through the game, she explains a certain fear of dying without leaving a trace, the same way her grandma did. Is why when she says the line "It could be thousands of years until someone discovers what happened to Liz" she doesn't sound sad, but rather slightly hopeful, she finds comfort in a trace of the self being left behind. She turning into Bugsnax is the worst case scenario because it leaves nothing for anyone to find, no bones, no footprint, she would end up like her grandma.

Chandlo's and Snorpy's are so heartbreaking, all they ever wanted was to protect each other, even if it meant sacrificing themselves

I'm... glad I helped the grumpses with their side quests, but more than just being immune to snackafication. As much as they hated one another, another they cared for, atleadt they were willing to sort things out with one another at the end, even some teaming up with the members they hated. But in the end, atleast the grumpeses who suffered the bad ending can be saved, if they can resist hopefully and learn that they don't need bugsnax. They have better lives at new grump city. They just gotta try.

Gramble’s last words almost killed me. He’s doesn’t want to abandon them like his parents did so he thought being one of them could make them not feel abandoned. In all cases they all need therapy
