Tap handles or faucet handles for my American friends, can often become to the spline shaft on tap head gear or tap cartridges. Removing the tap head can be very difficult as corrosion often makes removing the head very difficult. In this video I use a tap head puller, which I bought from eBay, but they are available here- bit.ly/3HyujZw (I’m not on commission). I also use a slide hammer/external bearing puller- bit.ly/3l9314q

I'm from the West Midlands and find accents interesting, yours especially when you pronounce 'there' as 'thur' keep up the good work:)

  • Thank you so much for the tips! I could do it all by myself because of your video! 🤩

👍👍👍 Thanks. I found out the hard way. You should always put the plug in place before you start.

Try pouring very hot water on the handle. Wrap a towel around it to soak up the water.
  • Next headache is getting the tap gear head off without rounding the nut 😂😂😂 3/8 deep socket and a 14''' inch breaker bat works for me 💪💪💪💪

Is the centre screw always a Phillips or can it be flathead or allen?

My suggestion would be before you put the screw back in to coat the threads in vaseline, a few years ago I went to remove a tap and the screw wouldn't budge no matter what I did an ended up having to fit new taps.

I'm looking to change the heads on my taps (to a longer handle instead of the ones in this video). Can I do this with the tips in this video or is it more complex?
