This song by Shane & Shane comes straight from the gospel of John. The verses speak to our need for God in all areas of our life...waking up in the morning, our food, our salvation and then for the hope of heaven after death. In all of that, we are dependent on the Lord. This dependance is part of learning to abide in the Lord. The last line of the chorus is a beautiful prayer to God..."hold me close and teach me to abide".
