FOR ALL VIEWERS: It is a film by BRANDT-VIDEO GmbH & Co KG! We filmed it, and we edited it. The music is a special composition from tonicum-music.de . And the company with the caliper is our customer.
From 380 km/h down to 80 km/h. Again an again. Extreme test of the first 3d-printed-titanium caliper.
The world's largest 3D-printed-titanium pressure functional component.
FOR ALL: Please read the description and several other of my comments: It is a film by BRANDT-VIDEO GmbH & Co KG! I filmed it, and I edited it. And a college produced the music. And the company with the caliper is our customer.

Those brakes can't stop people commenting about their computers.

This is why I never ride my bicycle at more than 350 km/h.
-
This is what our BMW's brake discs look like when my mom pulls up at the airport with 390 km/h at 5:30am so we don't miss the flight at 7pm

Very realistic and practical brake-tests. Congratulations on collecting this data, we can all drive safer when reaching speeds of 300 km/h.

It cannot be understated how remarkably lightweight this caliper must be. This style of sinewy titanium construction is revolutionary. I can't believe we can basically see the pucks inside. Superb engineering

I was once a fitter in a major brake manufacturer, Lucas HDBS in South Wales working on air disc brakes for Volvo trucks in engineering we did these tests on massive twin tappet reaction beam callipers but at lower rotational speeds with more torque applied from the dyno, those brakes acted exactly the same with flames and sparks everywhere! its a bit impressive to watch the callipers twist around the mounting when the brakes were applied and the discs glowed red hot. Great video, thanks for posting

Interesting, that disk reach the same temperature as a HP laptop

My PC when I use two tabs simultaneously on chrome

Props to the manufacturer of the disc and brake pads, being able to handle such brute force without melting away is something to behold.
-
It's a feat of engineering. It's the most beautiful brake caliper I've ever seen.

Nobody: Wish: titanium caliper - 3.99$

That brake was forged from the Heart of a Dying Star.
-
the fact that the brakes managed to bring it to a halt it’s pretty dang insane
