When I was 10 years old, I sent Eric a Christmas card i wrote in French (the best I could) and he sent me back a photo postcard with his autograph on it. What a hero. My favourite player ever!
  • @dhul_qarnyan
You guys beat the overlap to King Eric. Respect.
  • @TVsez
1966 was a great year for English football... Cantona was born!
  • @rowly1985
I'm 39 and there aren't many people in the world that would have me starstruck. But if I ever ran into Cantona I'd be a giggling wreck of a man. Iconic.
  • @Mark-pz9xw
Only Eric Cantona can do a walk off like that. What a legend of a footballer and man!
  • @alexmurray6234
Eric has such an unrivaled enigma about him. He's been around for so long, but flits in and out of our lives so you'll never get tired of seeing this guy
  • @jon031284
Alan's blushes when he complimented him says everything you need to know about what an icon Cantona is
  • @GoonerGng
As an Arsenal fan, I should dislike this man but I CANT, hes an icon of the game and he made me love football all the more . MERCI ERIC

When Eric says social media is destroying humanity, 100% correct. So many things he says is spot on, very very knowledgeable man
  • Wow, imagine being able to be that articulate, intelligent, insightful and thoughtful in a second language. Brilliant interview, what a guy. He's more than a footballer in the same kind of way that Ali was more than a boxer. (And as a Newcastle fan, he was public enemy number 1 when I was a teenager 🤣).

What an absolute LEGEND, even as a Liverpool fan, you have to admire greatness. Both in and out of football, this man is a total legend.
  • I could listen to Eric for hours. He is so right on so many things.
  • @matthewjamison
Cantona broke my heart as a kid, scoring that 85th min F.A Cup Final winner against Liverpool. I was crying my wee eyes out 🤣. But some players transcend football rivalry & are truly special. Eric is one of them men.
  • @jimjogger306
Eric Cantona made a good point about Sir Alex, He won the Champions league with the old generation without social media, Nearly 10 years later he won the Champions League with the new generation, This in itself is a feat, I never thought about it like that.
  • @TheAdArchive
LOVE that he has an old phone and he doesn't let his kids have a smartphone - what a guy!
  • @lukethomas6469
This is possibly the best I've seen Eric come across in an interview. So relaxed and natural, no performance or anything. Truly comfortable amongst his peers. Great video.
  • @andracoz
Both feet, heading the ball, could tackle, was fast for a big player, had great vision, strength and ability. The way he inspired his team mates to improve and to win. He will always be The King.
  • @AL71B
Wow. Can’t believe you’ve managed to get Eric on the show!!! Such an iconic and legendary figure for Man Utd. Nice bloke too. 👍
  • Cantona was more than a football player for Mancunians. He understood where the energy came from in the city, the youth, the music, the rebellion, the art, the creativity. It was all about freedom. He understood us, and we understood him. And for that, we all walked a little taller.
  • Greatest interview of a footballer ever. Eric was one of the true kings of the game. Also one of the most loved for the way he was & what he did here in the UK almost all football fans from every club here loved Eric. Thank you Eric & The Rest is Football team for bringing us this fantastic interview ⚽🧡🌟👍
