    Ah I had no idea I had to soak the brown rice, that’s why it was always hard. Thank you! I love this channel! If my mum can only see me now cooking some of her dishes I grew up eating, she would have been so proud!

    There is only one major difference between preparing friend rice with white or brown rice and that is that brown rice takes longer to cook before it can be used.

    Lau Papa used the term "to wake up the (brown) rice" to describe the 10 minute soak in keep warm mode before the cook. Cantonese is so cool!
