Thanks for not getting rid of the chow mein place. I live at the Palace across the street, and I pretty much eat there every day. I'm glad that there's a new bar in town because I keep getting kicked out of the Elbow Room. Well, not so much kicked out, but I'm behind on my bar tab. The bartender seems cool at the new joint, so hopefully, I won't wear out my welcome too quickly. Great job on the renovations, and thanks!

Youtube randomly suggested this video. I'm glad it did. Reminds me of my childhood neighbourhood :)

Hi, YouTube randomly gave me your video. I haven’t made train layouts since childhood 40 years ago and it’s cool to see the innovations that are now being used, 3D printing, etc.! Very cool layout you’ve created!
  • @philshamrock
watching this screwed up my algorithm. i don't build stuff like this nor am i into trains but i had to check this out. it's fantastic!
  • @Redbuzzcut
Incredible realness, workmanship is off the charts! Truly enjoyed watching your magic evolve on this great layout. Thanks for great vid!

There's almost something spiritual about the way you go about your build-bash. Can't imagine the patience it takes to create such art. Just starting to put together my first O scale building kits (no interiors) and I am definitely going to use the spackle mortar tactic v the acrylic wash technique that is recommended so often. Definitely will watch other videos for more tips.

I love it, I love it, I love it. Super high attention to detail.
  • my word, simply fantastic and realistic... I just found this channel by this video. That opening street scene reminds me of Troy & Watervliet, New York. Wow!! That yellow house with the chipped paint, wow, looks just like some of the older homes from that part of NY where I'm from. I can't get over how realistic everything looks. Even the mortar between the bricks, the roads & sidewalks is crazy realistic. That's some serious talent and attention to details.
  • Outstanding work! Thank you Norm. Your attention to detail is fantastic, so is your description of everything you are doing to the model. You are a true master!

The building to the right reminds me of an old Western Union office. Beautiful work and nice concise video.

I’m not sure why this channel arrived on my feed… but I’m Glad it did

Add me to the ranks of "YouTube just brought me here" Your eye for detail is amazing. I can't believe how far the hobby has come. Kinda makes me wish I was 30 again and not 63. Only thing I would have done is having a couple making out upstairs! You have a new subscriber.

Another beautiful piece in the layout. I always enjoy that you explain how you experiment with different ideas when you’re creating a new project. Thanks for sharing your talents.

I can really appreciate the amount of time invested in this project. I kitbashed a five story HO scale hotel and 3d printed an interior with lighting with both FDM PLA and UV resin prints. Trying to figure out where walls, stairwells, and rooms would be takes a lot of time and imagination. Custom designing furniture, printing and reprinting is labor intensive. Fantastic job.

Thanks.... very informative. This is the first video of structure modeling I've seen, although slowing down the camerea would allow for more appreciation and enjoyment, it's fantastic.

The buildings and streets look more real then the trains. My mind is absolutely blown. Looking for inconsistencies is like a next level where’s Waldo game. Just incredible!
  • Norm, you take the hobby to another level! Thank you for taking us along for the ride. As always I was inspired , and learned a lot.
