Walking Tacos

Walking Tacos

1 pound ground beef or pork
1 medium onion chopped
1 package taco seasoning
½ cup water

Cook the hamburger about half way and then add the chopped onion. Finish cooking the meat until it is cooked all the way through and then add the water and taco seasoning. This doesn’t take long so keep an eye on it.

In the meanwhile, prepare the toppings you would like to have on your taco. We use lettuce, tomatoes, some raw onion, cilantro. You may also enjoy adding salsa, sour cream and guacamole.

Pick out your favorite Nacho chip brand, the personalized size and open the top, you can just cut the top off with a pair of scissors if you like then gently break up the chip by squeezing the bag. Break them quite small. Fold the top of the bag over several times and then add your taco meat and all the toppings you want. Mix well in the bag and then enjoy!

Colleen, you have been so missed and many prayers are coming your way. I use the meat chopper when making regular jam or freezer jam. I place my berries in a bowl with sugar and chop to the desired size. I like a rustic fruit jam plus it helps to release a .lot of the berry juices. Pam
  • We have Dollar Tree here in the states. What an inexpensive substitute for the name brands 😉. Looks yummy! 😋

Years ago at a Tupperware home party, the hostess showed a lettuce ‘trick’…. Bang the core side of the entire head quite hard on your counter top, then put your fingers around the core and twist the entire core out. No knife needed, therefore no browning of leaves. I then separate the leaves and put them in a ziplock bag (because I no longer have a Tupperware lettuce keeper).

Have easy way to core a head of iceberg lettuce. Just point the stem at the counter and slam it down, the core will then just pop out when you give it a tug. I learned that years ago working in a kitchen. Hope your daughter is doing better prayers are with you at this time
  • I like your cone shaped type of grater also! It seems more stable while you are grating whatever. I always enjoy watching your videos! Got any canning videos to show us at this (spring time) of the year? It’s before the summer season of canning all the garden has produced yet. God bless you and your family

The slap-top veggie dicer is really quick when you have onions, green pepper, carrot, celery to chop!

If you open the bag along the side instead of the top, it's easier to mix and eat.

I’ve never had it with Dorito’s…in the Midwestern part of the US, we use the snack size bags of Frito’s. Will have to give Dorito’s a try!
