I don't believe this came across my feed. Dr Ekberg is my old chiropractor from the 2000s, who I had to let go of when his practice moved too far out of Atlanta for me to get to. He was the greatest of all time. So glad I connected with him once again. Bearing down on a million subscribers! OMG. You deserve it Dr. Sten. You saved me from so much pain.
  • I recently did my A1C test. It was 6.3 I was elated. My Doctor however said I need to have some complex carbs. She said I should have some for breakfast. I donā€™t eat breakfast anymore. I didnā€™t tell her this. She asked what diet Iā€™m on I said the one that my body needs.I told her my body doesnā€™t like carbs so I eat as little as possible. Itā€™s allergic to sugar so Iā€™ve totally stopped eating any sugar. I felt like she was scolding me instead of recognizing my hard work and dedication to better health.I was on a crap load of meds. Iā€™m on 4 metformin 2 in the morning 2 at night. I stopped my cholesterol meds. My cholesterol result was fantastic, I also stopped my high blood pressure meds because I was constantly dizzy , when I took my blood pressure it was low. So after monitoring for awhile I stopped taking it and my dizziness went away. My body is the most important source of information, Iā€™ll always listen to it. I started my lifestyle change in early December, after being sick every day from a new diabetes medication. Iā€™m 54 years old and have had diabetes for 14 years now. I wish my Doctor at the time of diagnosis told me Iā€™ve the power to reverse my condition instead of saying this is a progressive disease.

There is no money in a cure, the money is in the treatment.

Doctors are wrong about everything. I found that if I do exactly the opposite of what they suggest I actually do better. Thank you for your videos. You donā€™t even know what youā€™ve done for me! There is no way to express my gratitude.

Dr Ekberg , listening to you saying ā€œHello health championsā€ makes feel me happy and empowered ! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! šŸ™ŒšŸ»
  • My doctor was so wrong. I'm reversing my blood sugar levels and am almost back within normal range after switching to a very low carb diet and IF. If I had not discovered Dr Ekberg and this wonderful channel, I would have continued on a destructive path healthwise. As a licensed practical nurse, I should have known better and listen to the distress signals my body was sending me. So Dr Ekberg, I can't thank you enough for all the valuable information you give out so generously. You are making a difference in people's lives and we all appreciate your investment in our health.

I am a Spanish speaker and I understand the doctor perfectly. TODAY YOUTUBE RECOMMEND ME YOUR CHANNEL AND I'M GETTING ADDICTED TO YOUR VIDEOS. I ALREADY SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR CHANNEL AND I HAVE SHARED IT WITH MY FAMILY MEMBERS. Thank you doctor for speaking slowly and for sharing your knowledge. I send you a hug from the Dominican Republic.
  • What you described is something that has plagued me since i first started Keto. It made no sense to me why my highest blood sugar readings were after an 18 hour fast, while my lowest readings were after a decent meal. All i knew was that my weight, A1c and lipid panels were consistently improving by leaps and bounds. Im so happy to finally understand why! Thank you so much!!

My favorite YouTube doctor is marching his way to a million subscribers. It couldn't happen to a better person. Way to go doctor Ekberg. I have always said your home IR video is the best video on the subject anywhere that I've ever seen by anyone

I reversed my diabetes years ago. As of yesterday, my A1C is 5.6....I do IF and LCHF diet. Iā€™ve read up on the Dawn phenomenon, and my body definitely goes through this. I check my glucose twice a day. My morning fasting numbers have always been higher than normal, but then balances back out during the day. It use to be discouraging, but now that I know this happens and along with your explaination, Iā€™m good. šŸ˜Š I did a happy dance with my A1C of 5.6

Doctors are the last persons I'd ever believe anyway I mean they still believe Breakfast is important Low fats food Moderate carbs Loads of fruits and vegetables And eating frequently Enough said!
  • @neilxify
I saw exactly this paradoxical situation recently. My 17 hour fasting BG was a scary 110+ but as soon as I ate something it immediately dropped to 80+. I read something that explained it as the liver producing ā€˜breakfastā€™ but the body, having become fat-adapted, simply didnā€™t use it, so it stayed in the blood stream. As it was not the emergency Dr Ekberg talks about, my body did not bother creating insulin to lower it. Today my fasting BG was 78, so I guess I am one more step along on this fascinating Keto journey.
  • Ive been searching for this answer for weeks, thank you! Im at above 8 after 16 hours fast and it drops after my omad. Been on extremely low carb for 6 months and omad a month and a halve. Lost 10 kg. The high fasting level worried me. Now i need to watch this several times to get my head around this explanation. Not all that easy to understand, but i do trust dr ekberg. Keep going in the right direction!
  • Hi fellow health champions! Let's hear what Doc Ekberg will cover today!

Just so you know, I love you. I feel so much healthier now that I have found you. You are the only doctor I trust on the internet. I have insulin resistance but I also have hypothyroidism which makes it worse. Thank you.

My kids stayed over with a friend with 2 diabetic kids and a diabetic husband. Iā€™ll never forget showing up and seeing them eating chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast! I was like, heavens friend, thats a lot of carbs and she said their doctor says let them eat whatever they want and just adjust their insulin afterwards. My kids arent diabetic but they still talk about those yummy pancakes because they know that will NEVER be served in our house :)
