Doha's skyline has been transformed with the opening of the Qara Towers, a remarkable project that stands as a new defining landmark in the capital of the Emirate of Qatar. These two towers, encapsulating a decade of meticulous planning and construction, not only symbolize Qatar's national seal with their sword-like design but also mark a new chapter in luxury hospitality.

Qara Towers host two luxury hotels, each comprising 37 floors of unmatched opulence. With their opening just 12 weeks away, the excitement is palpable. The hotels boast almost 500 suites and hotel rooms, along with 18 restaurants, bars, and cafes, all designed to surpass the grandeur of existing mega hotels in the Gulf. The highlight is the world's largest chandelier, spanning 57 meters, and a unique multimedia Kaleidoscope set to mesmerize guests in the hotel lobby.

Under the meticulous leadership of German manager Christian Hilt, the team faces the formidable challenge of meeting a hard deadline. The pressure is intense, with every detail scrutinized to achieve perfection. The commitment to quality is evident in every aspect, from the choice of the finest materials to the pursuit of sustainable building practices. The towers proudly bear the five-star GSAS certification for design and construction, a testament to their energy efficiency and eco-friendly design.

As the hotels near completion, the logistical hurdles are immense. The task of ensuring timely deliveries, setting up the gas connections for the kitchens, and training the staff of 1,130 people from 73 nations is monumental. Yet, amidst these challenges, there's a sense of achievement and anticipation.

The entrance hall of the six-star hotel is set to become an iconic attraction with its 40-meter tall Kaleidoscope and an LED high-performance wall, offering guests an immersive visual experience. The commitment to delivering six-star quality extends to every detail, from the cloth napkins to the meticulously arranged amenities in the suites.

As the Qara Towers open their doors, they promise to offer an authentic Arabian experience, blending traditional hospitality with modern luxury. This project is not just a testament to architectural and managerial prowess but a beacon of cultural synthesis and innovation. With 10 years of construction culminating in this grand opening, Qara Towers are poised to redefine the luxury hospitality landscape in Doha and beyond, offering a unique blend of Arabian elegance and global sophistication.

Nice if you are a rich arab or westerner. Not so goid for the labourers who were imported to build it.

According to WalkFree organization there are over 700,000 slaves in Saudi Arabia "Saudi Arabia has the highest prevalence of modern slavery of all countries in the Arab States region. Migrant workers, who comprise the majority of the workforce, are particularly vulnerable under the kafala system, a restrictive work permit system that ties migrant workers to their employer. The system embeds a steep power imbalance between employers and employees by granting employers substantial control over workers’ lives, with risks exacerbated during the COVID-19 pandemic."

  • With the greatest respect, I seriously doubt that a 5 OR a 6 star hotel can provide "a genuine Arabian Nights experience" at least as this Kiwi understands it.😊❤👍
